Duh. Ofcourse the Admin are going to cover their butts. Everyone should realise that a kid will be upset if they are as clean as he was made out to be. He was pushed to the point of suicide the were signs. ALWAYS signs. Wether someone wants to take the time is the issue. If people would have stopped and looked they would have seen the signs. You do not have to POed or Depressed to kill yourself. Just determined and distraught.
Yes the parents should have kept a closer eye on him but the need would not have been there if it wasnt for the school.
As far as a putting them in a Psych ward for 24hrs. If he is sucidal YES. If it means saving a life YES. Everytime NO. It is on a case by case basies and if his parents overide the admins then it is thier fault but Someone should have offered him caounciling that was not discipling in tone. Just talking to them on their level helps sometimes. I know the hard way. Thanks to a good observer.

The ADULTS are to blame. Y because a childs life is always in the hands of an ADULT until they themselves are ADULT. Be it from car rides to school to safety in school to how a kid is raised.

I don't care what the kid did or did not do or if it was illegal. What I care about is the fact that that schools administration did not handle this properly. It is their responsibility that if he even remotely acted suicidal that he should have been restrained and brought up to speed of the reality of the situation. The ADULTS are responsible for his death. Death of a human is the issue. Not his deeds. He died cause he knew he messed up and didn't want to be sent to jail. Way I see it a threat by an Adult on a kid took his life.
I think the adult should be held accountable for that.
So. If I want to place a song that my band and I create, in MP3 format using Windows XP. Then Microsoft will alter our performance by altering the MP3 conversion process. Thus altering our Copyrighted material.

The biggest factor here is showing you care.
When I was in middle school. I was Violent. I was the type that if you looked at me and I thought you had something about it. I beat the crap out of you. It was how I delt with my life and the stresses there in. It was the only outlet I had. Why because it was the only thing I new worked. Many a time Id see my father beat my mom or his girlfriend. Thus this is how I relieved my stress was to become a terror too. In 8th grade it came to a boil. A kid who had been teaching me to vent through sparing instead of random acts almost died at my hands. A that moment I made a vow and changed my life.
My problem then became I didn't vent physicaly at all. I was afraid of who I would hurt. This lasted through highschool to my senior year. When I tried to kill myself. Tried was the key here. I didn't have it in me to finish. I spent a while in a hospital and began to open my eyes. Every kid there was there with similar background.
No one took the time to show they cared. So I as a kid thought no one did. AND therefore it wouldn't matter what I did. Even if it ment ending my life or someone elses.
Years have passed. I know now that not everyone can stop and say how they feel so they do it in other ways. But kids cannot see that. Now I go out of my way to talk to young people that I sene just need it. It makes a hugh difference. My nephew has avoided a lot because we talk about life. He knows he has someone. He still does crazy teenage things but he would harm anyone.
Parents and people in general just need to take that time. Show someone that what happens does matter and there are equal reactions for every action. Thats all.
If I had someone that did that for me I'd had a easier life. Then I couldn't help people now .

I think it is very disturbing that the grounds for a search Warrant can be so easily applied with so little research. Some laws and ordinances that govern our lives should be looked at with a fine tooth comb as well as the procedures to enforce them. If these guys have a good lawyer then maybe police in that area will be forced to think before leaping. There is just something fundamentally wrong when anything can be turned into probable cause. I realize the need for protection against crimes and so forth but at the same time we need protection against law enforcement abuse of power. Not just in the world of techies ether.
