Right now Googles car only does high way driving. It would be interesting to see how a smart car would negotiate New York Traffic and things of that nature.
Some in the financial industry are skeptical about social data and online behavior being used as a kind of credit score. There are several people who have friends on Facebook that talk to them over chat and never talk to them again or never meet them in person there social friends not people they spend time with on a regular basis. There not people they take advice from there people there trying to catch up with from college, high school and other places so why should that effect there credit score.
I have looked over the API it's still very new and sensitive right now. Google needs to stabilize this then release to developers so big companies like HBOGO, Amazon and Hulu can build for this new product.
Microsoft is still stuck in the dark ages management wise. They are still competing int he competing like Macintosh did against Lisa and apple 2 did back in the day. Twit.tv talked about this they need to become a collaborative company. Balmer kept the ship on the current course rather then evolve with the times. Microsoft does not know what the customer wants before the customer. That's what triggers innovation.
