I still stand by WordPerfect 5.1 (Change font = Ctrl+Alt+ScrLock+PageDown+Fe+F6+F12+~+X), or Edlin... The preferred Text Editor amongst Sado-Masochists.
Time and time again we've seen cracks/hacks/patches/workarounds for all kinds of groovy new "protection." It seems to me that the motivation behind the Hacker (Free Speech/Proving Themselves and their worth/Defending the/. Culture, etc) always prevails over the motivation behind the guys creating the protection -- Money. Already, one poster has talked about his digital-in/digital-out setup, and I'm always hearing from Audiophiles that analog is "better." Life will go on, burning/ripping/thieving/stealing will go on, and Charley Pride will continue to sell something like 20 CDs Nationwide regardless of the copy protection, 'cos no one has ever heard of 'im!
"Your government in the short time since GWB took over office has single handedly brought about a global recession..."
Perhaps you could do us a favour, and learn WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT before you go spouting off? President Bush TAKES OFFICE, and the global economy falls flat??
As someone who worked Palm Support for two years (Including Level 2, escalations, etc), I can say that I've never heard of this. What I have heard of is unbelievably stupid users... "I have three businesses, I keep all the relevant information on my palm, and now I dropped it. Hotsync? Of course I don't." Or... people who want to Hotsync without having the Palm connected to the computer? Or.... the staggering number of people that thought the contrast adjustment was a volume control. I could go on for hours...
I doubt this will get very far...
How much redundancy?!?!? Even if they're on different IXCs, they're probably still riding in on a loop from the same LEC.. and then, they're most likely delivered on the same physical DS3.... Don't be too reliant on this setup for redundancy's sake...
I've had a similar situation -- at 18 I supervised Nationwide Technical support for the # one line of Analog and ISDN Business Modems/Terminal Adapters (Won't name any names, but it's an American company that doesn't make robots).... now at 20 I'm T1/T3 Installation Technician for a Major Telecommunications Carrier. When supervising, I found it easy to gain respect, and took a few snide jabs from older people under me, at the new position, I've had many a torment due to the fact that everyone else is at least 3 years older than me, but, due to my relatively high-ranking position, I've found that people are usually able to get over the age gap ('course, I've been told I look older). It just boils down to this -- eventually, people will recognize how much you know/how good you are. Prove yourself, and they'll give you the respect you deserve.

Leave the Ad Revenue Generation to those who are willing to accept this crap... Me? I'll do without it.
Any chance you could "spread the wealth?"
