    If you are migrating from an existing infrastructure then you had policies in places before for desktop users, hadn't you?

    Common practices for desktops change very little from platform to platform and have more to do with your environment.

    Use the previous policies you surely had, addapt them to Linux, and add the bits that pertain only to Linux.

    The brothers and sisters bullshit is propaganda. Even the dearest to our hearts can commit horrible attocities and they should not be patted in the back for it but severely reprimended and punished if necessary (just remember tha the army's brains is not the same as the people in the ground, but the institution as such sucks terribly, blame the heads mostly for that).

    1.- Who the heck do the US believe they are to chose and pick puppet goverments? The only response I will accept is the biggest Empire in current existence.     2.-Great that you discovered that the UN without backup of its member states (specially the richest one) has no teeth. Thanks for stating the glaringly obvious. When we remember that even Big Teeth Nation could not control Vietnam and will never control Iraq (just look at Afghanistan for goodness sake, or did you forget about that country like your Prez, you know, that country where Osama bin Laden, the guy that actually hit the Twin Towers, is hiding).

    If he did not read the GPL or he did and did not understand, we should be grateful he is abandoning the FLOSS movement altogether.

    We need people that can undesratnd the implications of supporting freedom for you computer code and infrastructure. If this guy was not intellectually prepared to understand the consequences (which are pretty obvious btw) I see very little to applaud in such childish behaviour.

    I hate the US intervention in Iraq but I would never dream to compromise my ideals of freedom. What applies to everybody also should apply to institutions commiting grave mistakes like the US goverment and Army, even during their worst moments like the ccurrent conflict.

    We have been trying to hire a new person for months (UK here chapies).

    Of all the several hopefuls only one more less is up to standards (and then people ask why jobs are being outsourced elsewhere).

    When I got my job (yeah, pesky foreigner) iw went unfilled for 6 months.

    Now tell me it is an employers' market. I just don't believe that is the case for people with something to offer to the industry.

    Mexicos GDP has grown since NAFTA was introduced.

    Farmers were affected and should have been protected, but as a whole Mexicans are wealthier than they were before NAFTA.

    "Your companies" in Mexico, as you call them, were paid every single penny worth their assets during Mexican oil nationalization.

    This was necessary because (surprise, surprise) they refussed to obey several rulings of Mexican courts regading workers rights (foreign oil companies in Mexico were flaunting Mexican law as far back as 1907, so the different Mexican goverments of the period only took around 30 years until finally found no other solution). They even treathened the Mexican goverment, with get this, military invassion in case of nationalization.

    Nothing new under the sun I guess.

    Honestly chaps, how much does it help you to know about the latest rubish on TV, who won the superbowl or who is the latest TV evangelist if what you need is to implement an algorithm in C++?

    You can explain perfectly technical terms, even with vlodi espelling errorz, tat altoug tirezome, dont ofuscate compleetly the meaning of the messaje, to somebody in a completely different social context.

    You guys should stop fooling yourselves, you may not understand the accent of your Indian, Sinagaporean, or Hongkonese counterparts, but their communication skills in written English are as good as those of native speakers who have a false sense of security believing that being native speaker gives you an innate advantage to communicate properly.

    Heck, even people like me with a recorded history on this site of murdering in a daily basis Shakespeare's mother tongue can compete with you guys, you would be monumentally stupid to believe that stellar English skills will be a fundamental factor in keeping you employed....
