Such complete encroachment in your private life will only undermine a relationship, each person needs his own private space in which to express himself. For some that is pornography, that is their choice, frankly it is nobody's business to tell those people they have a problem just because they chose not to share this with their partners.
Some people may, most people don't, so stop making these stupid generalizations about people's problems and projecting your own arrangements regarding personal privacy as some kind of universal golden rule.

I have missed lots of movies because critics I trust had panned it down. Then if by chance I see it on TV later, I normally agree that they were right.
Chosen the experts you trust carefully is part of being an individual, that is why you delegate a lot of decisions about your life to people that know more than you about certain topics that matter to you.
The hate of the expert is a nasty trend that should stop, nobody can know everything about everything.

It really depends on the company and the field of expertise, what would surprise me nowadays is to enter a room with an homogeneous attendance.
We had a team of 20 people, give or take.
A third of them were Irish, 2 or 3 women, my boss at some point, was an Irish lady.
As London is London, we had 1 Nigerian and 1 Caribbean guy, then it was the guy from Bangladesh, Hong Kong and Gujarat, in India.
We had some native English people as well of course.
