I haven't actually tried it myself (I'm mostly happy with 6.1 for the moment and have gotten pretty accustomed to not having a built-in spell checker anyway) but there is a new reply on MozillaZine suggesting that the XPI may only work with 0.9.2 not 0.9.3 or the latest nightlies.
This would make sense since 6.1 is based on 0.9.2 but a bummer none the less.

I'm not sure that Talkback reports are really a good measurement of stability. I get a lot of crashes where the Talkback module is not run. Or maybe it is just me?
One of my favorite features I recently discovered: Highlight a word or phrase, middle-click on it and it does a search using your favorite web search engine.
Or do the same for a URL and it opens that URL in the browser. Its amazing to me how often I come across a URL in a webpage that's not linked.
A sequal to the DragonBall VZ, the Super VZ doubles clockspeed to 66MHz and adds on chip support for USB 2.0, on-chip SRAM cache , DMA memory transfers, and a frame buffer to speed up video. Its 0.18-micron shrink (down from 0.25-micron) should offer a two-to four-fold increase in speed and drink less power compared to the fastest Palm procs available today. The Super VZ will debut alongside the DragonBall MX1, which will be based on ARM technology and run at 200MHz.

You mean Serial ATA? It should be on the market Q4/01-Q4/02 but since it only deals with the physical/transport layers, it should work in addition to this proposal.
Even Roger Ebert noticed the anime-ish style of Atlantis and pointed it out in his "Thumbs Up" review last weekend.
And he even specifically mentions the Nadia discussion in today's Chicago SunTimes review.
Last year, UTD added a second connection to the Internet, through a seemingly separate backbone. A few months ago, a single fiber cut in Irving, ~20 miles away, knocked out both connections for days.
My recommendation is to finish high school ASAP and get the hell out! College in my experience is a much more accepting place.
UTDallas is in the area and used to be a great place for people like this and I guesss it's still pretty good. But be sure to visit WaterviewSux.com before living on-campus!
Actually, it would be more accurate to say that they get internet access 'through' UTD because mostly all we do is host some routers and stuff. And I'm not even completely sure that's 100% true.
As far as internet access from the apartments, next year's Freshman will have wireless ethernet access.
But what I'd really like to know is, why is a private company on OUR campus using OUR I2 connection?
I was lucky enough to attend a special lecture that David Farber gave at my university last week and he said that he actually considers himself to be a grandfather of the internet, not a father.
He also made a funny comment about Microsoft. He was having trouble with his PowerPoint presentation and said that ever since he testified against Microsoft, his software hasn't worked the same.
Back in the early days of DVD, Sony was about the only manufacturer whose players would play CDRs. This was due to the 'dual discrete laser pickup' which was actually marketed as giving better CD-Audio support.
Now, only a few Sony models still have this feature but players from other manufacturers do play CDRs. I think Philips/Magnavox was one of the first to support CDRs.
WTF? Over?
Could it be? An Ani Difranco reference on Slashdot!?!

Only the spell check "interface" was released. The actual spell check that Netscape uses is "International ProofReaderTM text proofing software, copyright © 1995 by Lernout & Hauspie Speech Products N.V." so it's not Netscape's to release.
See this bug for information on work to get aspell in Mozilla.
Actually, if you use the standard Installer download, you'll only have to download the components you want to use.

No, this article is not redundant because we now have the added value of Jon Katz's opinion! :)

It looks like someone has already taken over maintaining an unofficial slack-like distribution for SPARC. http://splack.org
Please tell us. Who is your "preferred domain registrar"?
I'm sorry but michael's "outhouse" reference totally went over my head. Could someonce explain it please?

Animation is built on plagiarism!... you take away our right to steal ideas, where are they gonna come from?
You must avenge my death Kimba... I mean, Simba!

I love it too. I'm just hoping for a T-shirt. That would be sweet.

So much for redundancy!

I don't really have anything against Al Gore (except that he cost Nader the election :) but he is NOT in the same league as David Farber!

I saw Shadow of the Vampire last night and quite enjoyed it. It was funnier than I expected. I particularly enjoyed Eddie Izzard's performance.
BTW, did anyone else notice that the movie was written by Steven Katz? Any relation Jon?
