Titan boasts an atmosphere, composed mostly of nitrogen and methane, ten times thicker than that on Earth. Scientists theorize that hydrocarbon rain and snow drizzle down to the surface.
Hydorcarbons are the primary ingredients of gasoline and other petroleum products.
No wonder research of this planet picks up during the Bush administration. He's opening it up for exploration.
Property that is Public-Paid ought to be Public-Profit. To to otherwise would be poor politics. I don't want the President to allow some pompous patriarchal person to purloin this petroleum from the people's pockets.

I really despise these situations that cultivate political favoritism. For a historical perspective, consider the Teapot Dome Scandal For a contemporary example, refer to George W. Bush's Plans to drill Alaska: The government bought the lands from Russia. The land and the oil in it belongs to the American people. We ought to work out some way to use it's revenues for the public good, but in the past (read:teapot) land like this has been given to political friends. Geoge W. Bush has no shortage of friends in the oil business.
This sort of thing also occurs whenever a local government subsidizes sports arenas.
Now the same corrupt process is taking place with the internet. More public money thrown into private corporate pockets.
I wonder if this corporation was created for this purpose, and if so who created it? I wonder if it existed previously, and if so under what name and what sort of bidding process did it have to go through.

The game's website claims to be able to run Doom at full speed.
Also, to have color is one thing, to have a 200mhz processor is another.
Refer to my earlier comment about the Game Boy, although WinCE-based systems are better, PalmOS is more cost-effective. Except for models with color.

WinCE-based PDAs are catching-up because, generally, the complexity of the programs availible for WinCE is more complex that those availible for PalmOS. This translates into better games. Have you seen Doom on a WinCE based PDA? Have you seen it on a Palm?
But boy if you want Games, I suggest you buy a Gameboy.
Both PalmOS and WinCE have fully capable basic PDA features, and PalmOS systems can be so cheap that one might be able to buy one of those and a Gameboy and still pay less than one would pay for a WinCE system..
...maybe somebody will stop by on their way to work and erase them and write a poem up in their place.
Someone will write a swear-word on the wall, with paint, so
The poet won't be able to use the eraser on this, so
Buckets of turpentine must also be provided, so
We can therefore expect some really wacky poetry.
I do think that this is a really creative and wholly worthwhile endeavor. It will be like an analog version of Slashdot.

This is all very top-secret, but Curry has just leaked NASA's financial dependance upon the home depot. You think our national buget surplus came from... nothing? Expect to see the Home Depot logo soon, on a moon near you.

I think that a lot spam could be eliminated if congress could pass a law to ensure that all solicitations contain a tag identifying them as and advertisement.
Such as...
Email apps could be programmed to read this line and ignore the message. I think this could be a lot more effective than the Op-Out law that exists today.
Also, snail-mail chain letters are illegal, aren't they? Does the same law apply to Email?
How does an ISP detect spam-sending activities?
I don't send spam, but I don't know of anything about my ISP monitoring my Emails...which is disturbing.
In the Orwell Helicopter Corporation's plant only a few trouble shooters are visible, and these respond to lights that flare up on a board whenever a vacuum tube burns out or there is a short circuit.
Let's not forget that nobody uses vaccum tubes in computers anymore. Unless, of course, you're using a Mac. I've looked into one of their more transparent models and seen vaccum tubes!
I fondly remember GW BASIC. The version I had wouldn't compile, you had to start the app, load"x" and run"x". I will never forget listing the code, and being forced to wade through line numbers to weed out any bugs. I remember most of all using a lot more goto's back then. To edit a line, I had to retype it. Using GW Basic taught me to enter code precisely.

Don't forget, this could be used as a weapon. I actually like the idea of being able to attack with _almost_ total impunity.
I think this sort of space-based weapontry is banned under The ABM Treaty.
As this Website demonstrates.
Our missile defense program is also banned by That same Treaty.

I had to wipe GW BASIC from my memory before I could learn C.
