Indeed. It looks like the telcos licensed from the railcompanies to bury cable, but the rail companies didn't have the rights to dig according to their lease.
I think the telcos think they have a better chance of burying this in litigation and/or settling with the owners than risk losing the use of the fiber if the rail companies lose.
I'm signing up for telocity DSL today. They do the self install kit. They also give you a static IP, don't care if you register a domain and point it to your DSL (as long as you don't run a biz off of it), and list UNIX under their supported OS's.
How do you explain SCO's change of attitude toward Linux and Open Source in comparison to the SCO president referring to Linux users/programmers as "Punk Kids" ?
I was at Hi-Fi Buys last week, and they have an in dash dvd player in stock. It fits in a normal stereo slot and has a movable flat panel lcd display on the front of it. I don't remember how much or who made it, but it is available.
Someone a long time ago said "January 1st is....hmmm let me see.....here.
So it doesn't really matter. I for one will celebrate when the epoch seconds roll over to 10000000000 (which just happens to be Sat Sep 8 21:46:40 2001 for all you people still stuck in the dark ages.) and again when it hits 2000000000(Tue May 17 23:33:20 2033)
Well asus may be scared but FIC isn't. I really wanted a k7 when they came out, but it was impossible to find a MB for it here. I was finally able find people selling the FIC SD-11 for about $150. Let's just say it's very nice. Check out http://www.cpureview.com/rev_k7-linux1_a.html . 1.44Mkey/sec @ rc5 and 37 seconds @ the povray test! BTW the povray test was 10 seconds faster than windows on the same machine:)
just be sure to keep your cheesey 80's metal cd's away from the rest of your collection.
--listening to motley crue's too fast for love as we speak.

Its only funny as long as you put them in feet first. Otherwise you wouldn't get to see the expressions on their faces. :)

Ok here's what it boils down to:
Calendars are arbitrary.
