You have the right to, in general, go about your business unmolested (for example).
That's obviously not any sort of "natural right." It exists nowhere in the natural world. Only through artificial means (for instance, a government or a gun) can one attain that "right."

Numbers are fun.
Anyway, I'm not touting gold, obviously you're right that it's an absurd, unsustainable price. My point was that the bank is a shitty place to invest your money.
I got 35% by comparing January 2010 with January 2011. Napkin number, though. Not financial advice of any kind. Anyway, my point was not "buy gold," because obviously that's stupid. My point was "OP's grandpa was right, the bank is fucking you."
Different strokes, I guess. I've really liked the direction KDE's been going with the 4.x series. I guess if you're not into the "concept" of it (sorry for the pretentious fucking phrase there, but I think you know what I mean) then you probably won't change your opinion of it (which is how I feel with Gnome, honestly). But if your problem with it was more with the "rough edges," go check out 4.6. I've been really happy with it.
1. Package signing certainly isn't a silver bullet in terms of package security. You're still trusting someone. 2. If you're that bent out of shape about it, Arch makes it insanely simple to roll your own packages from upstream sources. It is a one step process. 3. They're working on it anyway, if only to shut you up.
I have been quite pleased with it, but I keep all my bookmarks in the bookmarks toolbar. The first time I synced my home desktop with my work machine it made a little mess of the ordering, but I put everything back in place and it's been fine ever since.
Sync's fantastic. I'm using the addon on 3.x, and it has been the answer to my prayers. (Once I disabled history sharing on my home desktop, ahem.) Otherwise I dunno, I'm not on the 4 branch.

Nope. At the risk of becoming redundant, if the creator sold it, it's not theirs anymore.
That's right. You get paid for your work. You don't get paid to sit on your ass after you're done working.
How far do you go with that? Is slavery okay as long the slave doesn't seem to mind?

Keep laughing.

And three years later, he^Wwe've been proven right. Again.
Then why aren't you using KDE?
Yeah, KDE. It's better.
This is probably a stupid question, but have you tried KTTS?
Then there isn't a market for any software, only supporting software. (Or typically, the illusion of support.)
Oh hush, you silly communist. Why do you hate freedom?

Have a look at Tree Style Tabs. I can't live without it anymore. TST and Stylish are really the main things keeping me on Firefox these days.

Sounds like what folks used to say about Real Audio.
Particularly those who make a living by developing and selling non-free software very often won't agree with that entire list.
You missed a spot.
You find freedom irrational? Or the idea that I should be able to do with my property as I please? Why is that?
Franken.
"Social programs" are "socialist?" You obviously lack a dictionary.
We are agreeing. I was using the word "unaroused," but should have said "nonconsenting." Sorry for the confusion.
It's not my responsibility to do your research for you.
