I have kinda the same problem. With kinda the same solution. I use my trusted SonyEricsson T610 mobile phone as an alarm. Just put it in your pillow, or your sock as mentioned above (havent tried that yet) and the vibrations will wake you. At least it wakes me.
It has the added advantage that it will vibrate when your employer calls to ask why you are 3 hours late, if you sleep through the alarm:)

Ive got it running now. But wastesrv wants to know the password at startup. Which I dont know. Asfar as I can see the window version starts out by making a new key. No such luck here I guess.
Change the name of the "Makefile.darwin" to "Makefile". and cd to the directory which hold the Makefile and run "sudo make". (Not sure if it needs a sudo).
The process fails though:( With the following errors:
xfers.cpp: In member function `void XferSend::onGotMsg(C_FileSendRequest*)': xfers.cp p:350: warning: passing negative value `-1' for argument 1 of `void
C_FileSendReply::set_index(unsigned int)' xfers.cpp: In destructor `XferRecv::~XferRecv()': xfers.cpp:812: `RemoveDirectory' undeclared (first use this function) xfers.cpp:812: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once for each
function it appears in.)
I have no idea how to get on from here. It was pure luck I found out how to get the building going;)
I dont write much, usually I code in BBEdit, but when I need to write something humans can read I turn to Microsoft Word. Thats when I find out that computers can be neurotic. Yesterday a friend of mine showed me something in Word. She had a line of text she wanted to copy about ten times. she highlighted the line, and pasted. No problem there, new line the same as the old one. But the fifth time she pasted, the line suddenly got formated as italic. She pasted some more times and the formatting changed again in line 9 and 10, back to normal. So line 1-4 was ok line 5-8 was italic, and the rest normal. If an app thinks its smarter than the user it better realy be smarter.
Im also suprised about the availabillity of the new Safari Betas. It might be connected to the low file-size. The newest beta is only 2.5mb. Even people in modem-land will gladly download that. Compared to the multi-gig downloads real warez-hogs do every day this is peanuts.
No, notyet. But as you say yourself, this is a beta, and not even a public (though it might seem like it) beta at that. Im sure there will be bookmark-groups when it is publicly released.
You need to activate the debug menu. While Safari is not running, write this in the terminal: defaults write com.apple.Safari IncludeDebugMenu 1 Start Safari (Beta.62) and choose "Tabbed Browsing" in the debug menu. Command-T will open a new tab as will right clicking on a link and choose "Open link in new tab". Command-W will close the tab you are currently using. Command-shift-right/leftarrow wil choose the prev/next tab. One thing though, tabs slows down the gui, not page-load-time, but it takes longer to switch between tabs than to switch between windows. Also, if you have, say, 5 tabs in one window and are looking at the last (the one most to the right) command-shift-rightarrow will not cycle you back to the first tab. Another thing is that Safari sometimes closes the whole window instead of just the tab when you press command-W. Ive got only small complaints, Im very impressed they got it working so well already. Cant wait for the final.
Tabbing is a nice feature, but Ive kinda got used to not using tabs after shifting to Safari. well, Ive just got to get used to tabbing again;)
So, basicly everything is random? Great, Ive been living like that for years. Havent bought a lottery ticket in as long. Its about as likely to buy a winning ticket than finding a winning ticket on the street;)
Well, you used about as much time on the commands as I did. As I said, most of the time was spend doing the GUI.
What people prefer to use, key/mouseclick, is up to them. I prefer the mouse for this kind of opereation as my left hand ususally supports my head;) And its limited how many commands you can put on a keyboard, let alone remember. Some of the widgets you dont even have to do anything to, other than look at the gui. I know the weather widget is kinda stupid, you could look out the window. (Then again, if youre looking at the screen, why waste precious pico-seconds looking away?;) ) But, as you say your GKrellM do, it convays information at a glance, as can Konfabulator be made to. In just the way you want. If you dont like the look, change it. Make it do something more. With javascript, applescript and shellscripting Im hard pressed to think up something you cant do with it. personally I would have prefered PHP instead of javascript, but thats just me being a PHP-developer:)
"A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" someone once said, and I think he/she was right. It is faster to look at a smiling sun than read the "Partly Cloudy" that a bash script would output. You wont even have to look directly at the picture, just kinda "theres something yellowish up in the corner of the screen... The sun must be shining outside".
Anyway, I like konfabulator and think its a great app. You would almost think I worked for them by the way I defend it here;)
I spent an hour making a remote for XMMS running in X11. Most of the time was spent en Photoshop doing the GUI, wich now sits nice an quiet and unobtrusive in the topright corner, half translucent and floating over my other windows. As it is now, I can quickly convert the widget to, say, control iTunes on another box on my network, or iTunes on my own box. And I think that most other apps that can be controlled via either Applescript or the terminal can be controlled with a widget.
I dont knwo about you, but Ive always wanted a more simpel remote formy television and stereo. Now I can at least get simple remotes for most of my apps. Oh, and most of my websites too;)
Textpattern is very good. You can use Textile in comments, nice and easy simple text formatting right there.

Sorru about the quotes, is there anything more useful in this search: html for asshats?
Granted, we're a long way from "travelling" at v > c, but there have been experiments that appear to accelerate light past c.
;)
Sooo... What we've got is light that travels faster than light?
Dont mind me, Im tired and I couldnt help it

So this is were they put the lost battery life from the iBooks!

Nope. But you might be able to do it on your phone ;)
