Ever try to "fix" a corrupt access database? Never could find the tool that would let me walk the data file and fix the pointers. Oh yes, it broke because of the poor built-in multi-user access. More then one client and watch your performance go out the window. DB2/Oracle/Postgres or the only way to go. (And if you must use a windows only, pc only product then www.rbase.com is for you).
Well they got a crappy web site. So never mind, if a company can't make it easy to show off one of their products then tough noogies to them. Crappy cold fusion site.
And you point is? There are many facets of government and one of them is for the people to use their voices to keep the government in check and to call on the government to step in when an entinty has gotten out of hand. I see nothing wrong with this so called dichotomy you see.
I think the DOJ ought to investigate this as a possible anti-trust violation by Microsoft. All evidence seems to point that Microsoft killed this product to stifle competition.
I saw a cartoon of the cuecat comparing it to a common device used in a doctors office for...uh... certain...uh... examinations. So maybe Bender would be a more appropriate choice.
>This means that there is no license agreement between you and the software company; you technically have an illegal copy of the software installed.
That is what Microsoft has been trying to tell us all along, we are nothing but software pirates and if we keep paying them money they will ignore us for a little bit longer. Well, until.net then we will have to pay every month.
Ok, we know we've been giving you the crappy jobs, so here is your next assignment. We need a design for a new automobile engine that runs on water and we need it next week Monday at the latest. I want to be looking the the AutoCad drawings by 2pm.
"Now the real question is: are webmasters programmers (HTML?)?"
Depends, if the webmaster has to go to a class to understand HTML then they are just plain stupid and shouldn't be in a computer related field in the first place. (Yes, I know people like this and I get sick everytime I have to talk to them.)
It usually takes me about 2 minutes to change the board...no futzing needed. A torx T-10 is usually required though. If the drive is under warranty then I use this to recover data, replace the old board and send it in.
Friction is involved here too. Friction generates heat, heat causes component failure on the IDE board.
Next time you think your hard drive is bad because it goes "klunk" and sounds "bzzzt" try replacing the IDE board first.
They use front page. I double dog dare someone to change their page to "All your bases are belong to us".

But your off topic.

Something like this would be cool.

No conspiracy theory here AC. Look at the facts, Microsoft didn't want HP to market openmail on NT.

= NO SALE. Cheap media + great content + resonable price = SALE. Think about it RIAA.
So that's why port 137 keeps getting hit on my network. So who do I bill for the waste of bandwith? I only have 256 kbs SDSL.

Try using scsi drives. IDE drives suck for multi-user access.
So come one, post the name of the store as anonymous coward.
How can they track you? These chips only receive, they don't transmit. We won't ever be "Free" until we can all get along and we get rid of money.

MIR is already down. It crashed on top of a bus in Isreal and was reported to be a terrorist bomb by news sources.

I've found that most of my drives fail because the IDE board fails not because of the moving parts.
Hopefully your ISP is smart and your email account is a virtual email account that has no actual machine access anyway.
