Correlation is not causation. The same correlation can be drawn from Sun spot activity--which has more credence for causation since the Sun has a direct effect on the Earth's temperatures.
I worked at UPS as a preloader during college and you're right. If an employee stole from there they would find out and not just fire the culprit but press criminal charges. I saw some employees that worked the same shift I did and they got busted big time. Even their supervisor lost his career because of it. Stealing can be easily traced in a system as organized as UPS's. And BTW, the package that this thread is about could have be packed much better than it was. Packing right is the best insurance.
