Yes, Iraq now has a form of representative government. Very good observation.
You've also correctly observed that in order to get elected to a major office in the United States, you need television advertisement. No one will get elected if the electors do not know about them. Very good job again.
Where you lost, though, is the assumption that the candidate is the only source of influence on voters. In the US, we have organizations called PACs, which are political action committees. They are formed as private associations that work to spread a political message. MoveOn.org is an example of a PAC that promotes a liberal agenda. You may be familiar with many of the television commericals they made during the 2004 election.
I hope this helps to clarify. In the next lesson, we'll cover the fundamentals of campaign finance and how the recent campaign finance reform legislation has changed the way political campaigns are run.
That's exactly why a Free bios is necessary. I am typing this up in a Free Software browser (Konqueror) in a Free Software window manager (KDE), which run on top of a Free Software graphical manager (X), which runs on top of a Free Software system (Gnu), which runs on top of a Free Software kernel (Linux), which is booted by a Free Software boot loader (Grub).
I bet you have an erection, too. I'm typing this in my commercial browser, on a commerical operating system, running on all-types-of-closed Apple hardware, and it feels soooo good!
But I assume leftist nonprofit political organizations like MoveOn.org are fine, right?
Money is isomorphic to speech. You express your opinion by the money that you donate. But again, this is slashdot, where it is fine to contribute a ton of money to MoveOn.org but it's underhanded cronyism to donate money to the NRA or any other conservative organization.
Oh, yeah, and I've got to complement MoveOn and Michael Moore and the like on their amazing job getting Bush out of office. Really - good form.
This is pretty scary. I'm a non-government BoA customer, and I'm still worried about this. I'm just hoping their admins were competent enough to use strong cryptography on these backup tapes.
You know you're one of the Slashdot crowd when you trust Blowfish more than you trust your financial institution.
The French, leading this crusade, needs to convince the UN to send in HyperLink inspectors to Google. Despite Google denying the existence of such HyperLinks, the inspectors will be shuffled around the campus to different sites, only to have the HyperLinks hidden right before they arrive at the site.
This charade will go on for several months, when finally, the US, becoming terribly impatient, will convince the rest of the world that that Google actually DOES have these HyperLinks, and has been hiding them all along. We will present some loose intelligence to this effect to the UN, and all the other nations, trustingly, will allow the US to begin the use of force against Google.
The US will lead the invasion of Google, with COALITION OF THE WILLING! at their side. Months later, it will come out that Google really didn't have any HyperLinks in the first place, but now that the US is occupying the campus, they can't leave, or there will be a civil war among the Google engineers, who have long been divided into different factions.
Now, it comes out that other.com's are developing these HyperLinks, and have the capability to use them....this is the drama with which I leave you...

That's the idea. Glad to see you're coming around to the idea of representative government.
...until you realize it costs four hundred dollars. I'll stick to iTunes, thanks.
Maybe you should try Windows instead. It would simplify the process. You just double click on the update and it installs.

I silkscreened my BIOS code onto an extra large tee shirt, so now I can drape my naked body in open source goodness. I feel so liberated.
Did you know:
If John Kerry were elected, you would never have to show ID at an airport.
If John Kerry were elected, you wouldn't need to go through the metal detector. That's a violation of privacy rights to people carrying guns.
If John Kerry were elected, September 11 never would have happened.
If John Kerry were elected, no would would ever have to pay for healthcare or prescription drugs. Ever.
If John Kerry were elected, your cat that was run over by a Buick when you were twelve would come back to life.
If John Kerry were elected, there would never again be a rainy day.
If John Kerry were elected, cats and dogs would live together in harmony.
If John Kerry were elected, there would be a three-per-seasion limit on Republicans.
The United States Attorney General is Alberto Gonzales.
You liberals already took away our free speech rights with your campaign finance reform, how much more do you want? Sheesh...

I don't know what you're talking about. FF ruined this popup's shit.
I bet it runs linux AND i'm imagining a beowulf cluster of those.
BUT does it run LINUX?
oh, wait...
Extradition.
I got my law degree from Dick Wolf University.
Here is my proposal.

Why do you think that Mac and Linux both have a militant following, but Microsoft does not? ( Or do they, but I just don't see them ? )
Doesn't this defeat the idea of a vacation?
If you're serious about performance, use XLC. GCC is great if you're cheap, but it's kind of like putting monster truck tires on a Ferarri.
Though seeing Akbar appear on police help websites would be somewhat surreal.
No, it would be a TRAP!
This is clearly a PATRIOT Act induced "study" that only provides the Feds with the capability to invade on your personal data years into the future.
This is why I still back up all my data on reel-to-reel tapes.
It's too late. Google is already a verb.
People will never say, "don't ask me, Microsoft it."
I swear, we're gonna see it on Slashdot when Google's HTTP header changes.

I have done computer work about 15-18 medical offices...
No you didn't. How do I know? You said "hippa". Health Information Portability and Accountability Act. HIPAA.
