Yes, but why is it bad to steal things that don't belong to us? Because then the person who originally had it cannot benefit from it. With software, the company has not lost anything but the potential sale.
However, for this to really be a problem, you have to assume that the person was going to or would be able to purchase the software legally. If some kid pirates 3DStudio Max, there is no way he would be able to pay for it, so he would have deprived the company of 0 dollars. And if he has deprived the company of no money, what has he actually "stolen" ?
Now I wonder if in 20-30 years those stupid Truth ads will have switched from whining about cigarettes to whining about how addictive videogames are?

"Eleven years ago you created a legend about three men who had been condemned to death for treachery. You pretended you had a piece of paper which proved them innocent. No such piece of paper ever existed."
You might try looking for hamfests or amateur radio swap fests. Most are also computer flea markets and usually for about $15 you can get a table to sell your electronics/radios/computer related stuff. Go to the ARRL web site (http://www.arrl.org) to search for one in your area.
And following this same line of logic, students should never be allowed to write any form of a report in school. This would include reports that had a works cited page and gave credit to the sources. Guitar tab is the exact same thing. It is one persons opinion of a song, with the original creator being named (how else would you be able to find it?). It would be a different scenario if it were taken from an authorized source and then transcribed to the web, rather than a song that someone listened to.
What is the point of even trying to charge for Napster as a service? People will just get a copy of Napigator or a program like it and connect to any one of the free servers out there. Even if some people don't know how to use it/get it, they probably have a friend that does and is willing to show them. Most people will accept a slight inconvenience if they can still get free music.

Well Pathways into Darkness wasn't even on the list and it was one of the first FPS for the mac.
The speed of sound through water is much faster than it is in air. It would be rather hard for it to be going faster than the speed of sound in water.

And I belive that the canvas-like material that was coating it was nitrocellulose. As in the stuff gun-cotton is made of.
