    Anyone see it mentioned anywhere how these machines might treat contacts? Due to the diff't reflections, would a machine used to seeing you WITH them in reject you if you didnt, or vice versa?

    Also, what of those who wear colored contact lenses? If this becomes standard on all ATMs in the country it all but rules them out!

    anon cow: if you haven't noticed, everyone who actually logs in is fair game to get moderator, and i think that as a whole the system is working out great! i can surf at 3+, in case i just wanna pick up the creamofthecrop posts, or someone like you, who i suppose enjoys the flamebait and all, could cruise at -1...
    theres no censorship about it, because everyone gets to see the msg set they wish to see..

    i dualboot 98 and Be, and were it not for games i could drop 98 without a second thought... Be is a fine technical os, and it would be a shame to see it go to waste without proper developer support..

    but on that self-same note, if bluesnews.com, planetquake.com, planethalflife.com, stomped etc all posted 'Hey sierra has a poll that calls for a gamer's vote, go look' there would be a FLOOD of windows9x users saying, hey yeah, concentrate on MY games..

  7. Re:It CAN be done on Burger King to offer Internet Access · · Score: 1

    well yeah, thats how its supposed to happen, but do you think it does? hells no
    i wasted 2 years working in bk (i only wish they had net access then :/ ) and we had touch screen PoS systems for most of that time... they we're actually surprisingly rugged
    we had intel p133 driven lil compact pcs with nt4 that auto loaded the PoS (and the software was SOOOOO badly written it was REDICULOUS), and the screen on those things would get everything tossed on em.. more rare were things like fry grease and burger grease, but it happened. quite often those things would get nailed with an entire soda tho... and it was real easy to clean em too..just run a wet napkin over it, and woop (no glass cleaner tho, as someone suggested in an earlier post, thats bad :) )
    but eh, its probably a bad idea, but let THEM figure that out :)

  8. answer to ? + random banterings about tpm on Review:Star Wars:The Phantom Menance · · Score: 1

    The title 'The Phantom Menace' refers to the threat to naboo. This threat is no threat at all, and merely serves as a device to seat Palpatine firmly as chancellor and give him his political power to wield when he decides to make his move against the Republic. Remember the way Darth Sidious just used the Trade Federation?

    The attack on Naboo is a distraction at best.. we need to STOP taking this movie at face value, and realize that its only a SETUP for 2 more movies.. in which ALL THESE questions will be answered (at least they better be... :/) I think Pal/Sid got more from the attack on Naboo than he planned on, in the death of Qui-Gon.. and we all see the irony in discovery of Anakin while on a mission to free a small planet from Sidious/Palpatine-controlled troops...

    and on the endless complaints about the brief film-life of Darth Maul... can we say, 'Clone-Wars', boys n girls?

    Speaking of the Clone-Wars.. they might have something to do with the decorpsoration... its very possible that its just something that was never necessary for them to do before there was the threat of cloning dead Jedi for the uses of the Sith...

    and its VERY naieve to assume there were only the 2 Sith in the universe...

    the most dissappointing thing about the movie was far and away the character development... we know more about Jar-Jar than we do Amidala! its sad when selfsufficient movies do a poor job of character devlopment, but when its a movie the main role of which is to setup for 2 more? cmon..

    (btw, i assumed Sidious==Palpatine)

    *sigh* i feel better now :)
