A whole lot of people used a hammer to drive screws. People who don't own any screwdrivers should learn when to use hammers and when to use screwdrivers.
Good to know that the exceedingly wealthy will not be suffering from slight inconvenience. And to think I was worried about the possible loss of irreplaceable ecological assets...
This is highly informative! I couldn't sure until now, but the fact that they avoid using terms like 'bubble' that everyone can understand, and use Orwellian language, pretty much confirms that it's actually a bubble.
It really isn't that simple. If marriage is about having children, then there is a good argument that it makes a difference whether the parties are same-sex or not.
Free speech means people can make that argument.
In many places, however, marriage law is completely separate from child custody and support law, so the argument actually isn't very good.
What's creepy is that there's a patent for the obvious pairing of technology with the idea of a doll; archaeologists have found dolls tens of thousands of years old, so it's hardly original.
It's cute the way they say "ensure that Congress, stakeholders and the public are closely involved before, during and after the conclusion of trade agreement negotiations." when the whole point of 'fast-tracking' is to prevent involvement or even awareness until it's too late.
Actual free trade (as opposed to "free" "trade" the slogan) is pretty much the simplest economic concept there is, so if the negotiations are complex, they're doing something else.
If you think every story that mentions women is saying the same thing, then 1) you didn't read any of them very carefully, and 2) you're one of the worst examples of sexism in existence.
I would pay actual money for a browser that had *no* sound capability.
Or even just one that I could reliably disable sound on.
While the injustice was definitely egregious, the original injustice was not the reason for all 77 years of the 'delay'.
Disruption would require innovation; I don't expect we'll see any of that from the music industry in the foreseeable future.
The analogy is
A whole lot of people used a hammer to drive screws. People who don't own any screwdrivers should learn when to use hammers and when to use screwdrivers.
How is this news? Everyone was saying this when PowerPoint first came out.
I know it seems like tourists are an infinitely-renewable resource, but how can we be sure?
1. Every species has value.
2. Every species does not have infinite value.
Eradicating mosquitoes would undoubtedly have some unforeseen negative ecological dislocations.
But we're talking about mosquitoes; I'm willing to take the risk.
The privacy concerns are troubling, but I can't help thinking that's pretty cool.
Good to know that the exceedingly wealthy will not be suffering from slight inconvenience. And to think I was worried about the possible loss of irreplaceable ecological assets...

What's really sad is the EU is actually effective, in relative terms, in slowing down the descent into feudalism.
In Canada politicians spend enormous effort trying to out-compete each other in selling out to American corporations and American money.
"Not Being George W. Bush"
...was considered a great advance for world peace by almost the entire planet.
Are we sure corporations didn't get their recruiting style from jihadists and crusaders?
Corporations just tend to be a little more subtle about their attitudes to the human pawns they exploit to subvert enlightened civilization.
with all things being equal
Exactly what these "trade" deals prevent.
It really isn't that simple. If marriage is about having children, then there is a good argument that it makes a difference whether the parties are same-sex or not.
Free speech means people can make that argument.
In many places, however, marriage law is completely separate from child custody and support law, so the argument actually isn't very good.
"If you like your job, you can keep it".
Just not the salary...
Better known as 'learning' to everyone not trying to exaggerate an claim of artificial intelligence.
It's excellent progress, which is why I don't think it should be watered down by being compared to the simple algorithms.
restrain the abuses that can occur
That's the goal of a free trade agreement.
A "free" "trade" agreement like this one has the opposite goal.
What's creepy is that there's a patent for the obvious pairing of technology with the idea of a doll; archaeologists have found dolls tens of thousands of years old, so it's hardly original.
And then there's the way the public are not considered stakeholders.

It isn't Britain without Scotland.
Start 1 mile + 1/(2pi) miles north of the South Pole.
There are, of course, infinitely many such points.
