Yeah that's right, 20k goto's in linux code.
But I agree with you, goto's are a pain, but they do have their place (Speed, thats why the kernel uses them)
So not only did/. get the "First" part wrong, check out the max size of attachments. 30Mb? (b?!?) It's 30MB. 30Mb would only be 3.75MB (30Mb*1B/8b), which is not very impressive at all. The press release has it right, 30MB.
Well let's think of it this way, you could say that same thing about/anything/. What if Coke never made Coca-Cola and at the same time bough Pepsi and stopped them from making Pepsi. The world would lack brown beverages.
Microsoft definitely had an effect, but not because they didn't buy netscape and cancel the browser project and then made IE. They had an effect because they made their browser FREE (forcing Netscape to follow suite), and bundled it with almost every desktop computer sold.
IE for Mac is dead. (Most likely because Microsoft saw no purpose in fighting with Safari). And IE for high-end unix offerings, if they aren't dead, are they in popular enough demand to make a difference?
Switches are sniffable too. It just takes more work. Read about arpspoof, part of the dsniff package, you can trick a switch into sending you data rather than a client or even the gateway, then you forward it along to where it really belongs.
This even works on cable modems, but you can only sniff downstream packets, not upstream.
I think by cut'n'paste he meant the URL not the contentt, as in the user can copy/paste the link to get to the site. (A URL that is copy/pasted will have no referer [sic])
The Text To Speech is actually meant for the visually impaired, where it is more than just "neat" to have, but needed. I however do agree that video/comercials/fisher-price interface are way too much crap to have on an ATM.
I found cvs-1.11.5.tar.gz that I had downloaded March 10th, looked for the email or ftp upload directory or/somewhere/ to send it. It's not listeded anyway. I email gnu@gnu.org with it but it seems that there would be a better place. Anyone?
3.6/2 != 1.3, it's 1.8, which still isn't too far from 1.5 so your theory could be correct. but if it was the size of the AA you'd think you'd have a lot of problems with people using 2 of them in something and frying it. (7.2v is much more than 3v)
I'm betting you know what this is for and are just making a joke, but just for reference this is so a distributor (not like Redhat but like Netscape or Beonix or whoever) can release a beta or pre-release that is timebombed so the users must upgrade to the final release when it's done.
Of course they could just change that value but most likely it'd be better to just upgrade

And yes I just added the line to my/etc/postfix/transport to route aol.com mail thru my isp, but it's stupid i have to do that (and i understand aol's view on it, it's the spammers abuse that caused this)./And/ i didn't even get an alert about this, my girlfriend just said she didn't get that email when i mentioned it and i had to check my logs. go.com is even worse, they just close connections without giving a little reason why.
Check out Advanced Partition Table Support or something along those lines in the linux kernel, there is an option to see the BSD "slices"
Might help you out.
If it's not even correct grammar than I guess he didn't proofread it (or is just overly dependant on an Edior) ;)
As are you :P it's editor.

Actually Steve Jobs is Apples "iCEO" (No joke, interm-CEO, he's doesn't want to be "offical")
Asus makes laptops with upgradable CPUs. You can even buy them barebones (No CPU/RAM/Harddrive).

Actually the $699 is all to pay for an OS, it goes straight to SCO, Sharp must be giving these things away for free....

In short, the anti-spammers found a WSFTP.LOG and used it to find zips with email addresses.
Funny to see this on the register so soon after this slashdot article

And yes I just added the line to my
first post!
and yeah, if you were steal something from a store you deal with police, not fbi agents.
stealing bandwidth is much less than stealing from a store, so what's the big deal?
