That would be Israel, Italy (well, the Vatican City), and Haven't-Got-A-Clue-Land

I thought we were talking about the UK here?

Not wishing to be a pedant [much :-)], but surely he discovered geosynchronous orbits?

I think both statements are perfectly valid... He discovered geosynchronous orbits, and invented geosynchronous satellites...

  4. A matter of priority on UK ISPs Refuse to Monitor Users · · Score: 1, Interesting

My initial reaction when reading this story was to stand up for the ISPs - say something along the same lines as most other people here...

HOWEVER, if I had a choice between another attack on the scale of Sept 11th, and my ISP holding my logs (and the chance that someone might look through them), I'd be quite happy to let anyone look at the logs.

I have nothing illegal to hide, and while I'd rather people didn't look through what I've been doing, it's all down to what's more important....

  5. Foreign languages? on Gnarly Error Messages · · Score: 1

I don't know if any of you have ever come across a language called 'Camilla' - I'm not learning it myself, but some friends of mine have to use it for their course...

Camilla was originally written by a Czech - and has never been properly translated into english. So, apparently, some of the more obscure error messages are still in Czech..
