Eh. "The establishment" is the corporate/government/media complex. The corporations pick the policies, their bought politicians enact them, and then their media networks propagandize the populace as to why things that are clearly not in their best interest, like the mass importation of semi-retarded 3rd worlders for cheap labor for the corps, is actually right and moral and good and anyone who disagrees is stupid and evil. Anyone who's opposed to that system can still call themselves "anti-establishment."
True. Very few people bother to come out to vote against someone. They come out to vote for someone. The only arguments I could ever get from Hillary supporters was "she's not Trump" and "experience."
The only fake news site (besides CNN el oh el) I saw this election paraded around was the same one NPR talked about after the election. I think it was abcnews.com.co, and it's actually made by a lefty to "prove" how right-wingers will fall for stupid shit. Now, I am a right-winger, and when you sign up for the right your welcoming kit includes a firmly affixed tinfoil hat. So every time I saw something from that site posted to a right-wing forum or comments section, immediately people would respond "that's fake, don't spread that around." So lefty makes fake news, posts it to right-wing sites himself, right-wingers reject it, and then he goes to NPR and says "lol right wingers are dumb because I posted my fake news on their forums." It's the "hurr durr I was just pretending to be retarded" meme.
You would think if this evil russian propaganda were so widespread one could post a screenshot of one of the fake stories and give us some context. "Oh, Putin wants people to think X, so here's his fake site where he posted this story, and here it is being propagated around the net..." Nope. I wonder why they can't show us anything like that? Really gets the old noggin' joggin', huh?
Except Bretibart was right about the election, and the mainstream media was wrong.
I think a good tactic is to read news from various different perspectives so you can see who is lying or wrong about what and why. But anyone who tells you they're objective is lying to you
I would take global warming more seriously if the proposed solutions from the left were not carbon credits and exemptions for India and China. It's basically "we're all gonna die! Now give us your money and freedom and we'll all still die anyway!"
No, draining the swamp is about changing the way lobbying works. Banning people from being lobbyists after working in the government, banning them from ever lobbying for foreign governments, a proposed constitutional amendment for term limits in congress, etc. It has nothing to do with replacing bad people with good people but with changing the system that enables systemic corruption. These are not things he can do until after inauguration, though, so whether or not the swamp will be drained is unknown, but cabinet appointments have nothing to do with it.
First: I am going to institute a 5-year ban on all executive branch officials lobbying the government after they leave government service.
Second: I am going to ask Congress to institute its own 5-year ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and their staffs.
Third: I am going to expand the definition of lobbyist so we close all the loopholes that former government officials use by labeling themselves consultants and advisors when we all know they are lobbyists.
Fourth: I am going to issue a lifetime ban against senior executive branch officials lobbying on behalf of a foreign government.
Fifth: I am going to ask Congress to pass a campaign finance reform that prevents registered foreign lobbyists from raising money in American elections.
You need to stop sniffing glue. And smoking crack. This election was largely a revolt against the Republican establishment that has betrayed the Republican voters who 1) worked their asses off to get them there and 2) desperately need relief from mass immigration and free trade catastrophes. If the establishment fucked Trump, there would literally be blood.
You've got to stop watching CNN. It's rotting your brain. Jeff Sessions desegregated Alabama schools, had the head of the KKK executed and broke the back of the organization with a crippling $7 million judgment, effectively ending them. And I'm supposed to believe this guy is a racist?
And Steve Bannon? White nationalist?! Breitbart is the most pro-Jewish, pro-Israel newspaper outside of Israel. The actual white nationalists call it "kikebart."
You're smearing some good people here with some really nasty lies. I can't imagine what it would be like to have executed the leader of the KKK and have political assholes try to smear me as a racist.
I'm saying you should probably be certain before you go to the press. Do your analysis, have other researchers take a look and try to reproduce your results or poke holes in your methodology, take it to the other campaign and see what they want to do. Only after you're sure do you go to the press and say "HAX!!!!" But when you go to the press before you've done that you just stoke resentment and maybe incite riots.
That said I'm fine with it as is. Angry buttmad lefties rioting in impotent rage are entertaining, look awful to moderates, and waste time instead of trying to mount an effective response.
Because some of the local election officials want to cheat.
I rather like my county's system. You fill out a paper ballot, and then you feed the ballot into the scantron machine for counting, and the ballot is locked in the machine. If you suspect the machines are rigged, the officials, watched by representatives of the candidates can crack open the machine and hand count the ballots. That is fair and reasonable. But this touchscreen only stuff can kiss my ass.
Technically the electors aren't even required to vote according to the popular vote of their state in most states. No one has ever done it successfully though.
To expound, the electors are chosen by slate. It's not like they're just random people from the state who go vote. If the Republican wins and your state has 10 EV, then 10 prominent Republicans, like people who worked hard on the state campaign, etc, are sent to the Electoral College to proudly cast their vote for the Republican they helped get elected. And if the Democrats had won the state, the 10 electors would be prominent Democrats. It's one of those "big honor ceremonial" things. So the whole "faithless elector" thing is retarded, and your friends sharing that petition around on FaceBook probably never took Civics class. They're expecting that dozens of die hard partisans are going to switch their votes. This does not happen.
It's impossible to avoid the mainstream/left wing media. And hell half of the right wing media is pointing out the bias and lies of the mainstream media so even if you only paid attention to alternative media you'd see mainstream media indirectly. Also Fox is mainstream, and Rush is owned by ClearChannel.
Do you ever read Breitbart though? Or watch right-wing news/opinion YouTube channels?
I see your media. I have to. It's everywhere. I couldn't avoid it if I wanted to. But do you ever see mine?
Those are stupid laws. I think this is mostly pushed by the uniparty neocon/neolib establishment to get people fighting over stupid wedge social issues while they rob us all blind.
Necons: "Laws to ban trannies from the bathrooms!"
Neolibs: "Laws to force trannies into the bathrooms!"
Regular person: "Jesus Christ do we need the government monitoring bathrooms? How about we have no bathroom laws and everybody just agree not to wave whatever junk they've got at people while they're trying to take a shit? Now about that budget you guys haven't passed in 7 years..."
For you.

"They're looking at someone else's fake news instead of our fake news! It's not fair!"
It would be very painful.
Actually it's anti-establishment nationalists vs. establishment globalists.
The only fake news site (besides CNN el oh el) I saw this election paraded around was the same one NPR talked about after the election. It would be really amazing if someone could show me a single piece of this propaganda they can trace to the Russians. Where is the evidence?
Commie.
What's unconstitutional about them? Also, since when does anyone care about the constitution?
Except Bretibart was right about the election, and the mainstream media was wrong.
I think a good tactic is to read news from various different perspectives so you can see who is lying or wrong about what and why. But anyone who tells you they're objective is lying to you
Except the only people they call "fake news" are those that go against the main stream media. What about CNN and their fake news?
I would take global warming more seriously if the proposed solutions from the left were not carbon credits and exemptions for India and China. It's basically "we're all gonna die! Now give us your money and freedom and we'll all still die anyway!"

The speech: https://www.donaldjtrump.com/p...
And the five points:
First: I am going to institute a 5-year ban on all executive branch officials lobbying the government after they leave government service.
Second: I am going to ask Congress to institute its own 5-year ban on lobbying by former members of Congress and their staffs.
Third: I am going to expand the definition of lobbyist so we close all the loopholes that former government officials use by labeling themselves consultants and advisors when we all know they are lobbyists.

From my understanding it is quite frequently not.

Popular vote = rule by big cities. I'm a country boy, so, no thank you.

Apparently three republican electors have pledged not to vote for Trump.
Source on that?

You don't get it, do you? No one cares about this in real life. It's a made-up issue to make morons fight each other. So, keep fighting.
