  1. I've played since I was 2! on Japanese Researcher Finds Gaming Stunts Brain · · Score: 1

First of all, I'm 12, and at parties where people do a lot of wrestling, my (also video-gaming) friend and I stand to the side and say "this is absolutely stupid". Second - My dad (a computer science professor) bought me a NES when I was 2, I'm serious. I now have:

SNES, PlayStation (broken...), TWO Nintendo64s, GameBoy color, GameBoy pocket, and Playstation 2.

I also know C, Python, and C++ (not fully). I'm on the vim-dev maillist. I have written an entire pong game (see this page). I would say I've developped reasonably good learning abilities...Wouldn't you? And I think video-games helped me develop that! This sounds like a biased piece of junk.

  2. Re:Who are these people? on Fight Virus With Virus? · · Score: 1
I think they have one of two motives:
    • They want to prove they can. Like the school-bullys that, when asked why they beat people up, they say "Because I can! Want to make something of it?"
    • They are just plain mean. They like to know that they have given somebody a royal pain in the butt.

But this is just my humble opinion...
  3. WWWWI - World Wide Web War one on Fight Virus With Virus? · · Score: 1

Will the evolution of the WWW go in the direction of the humans? Will there be wars in which groups of pro-hackers, leaded by Bill Gates, join together to create a Nuke-Virus to get rid of the minority groups (eg, VMS users)? While the Linux groups have a treaty to protect the small island of VMS, they must retaliate, in full force! Then the Mac users will join in on the side of MS. But the Windows users will be too snobby to associate with "people who don't have a character terminal". Thus a civil war between Windows and Mac.
This sounds like a twisted war-in-the-making, resulting in the death of many computers!

Note: I don't want to offend anyone

  4. Re:What about programs? on Linux for the PlayStation2:It's Official · · Score: 1

Have you tried writing your own games on PS? The PS runs on CD's right? So IF you keep your mouth shut and don't distribute it then writing games seems to be no problem? Well there is a problem...that legal buiseness so IF (redundant huh) you don't mind BREAKING THE LAW...that wouldn't be a problem?

  5. THE NIGHT LIGHT IS STILL on Wave/Sea Power - What Are the Dangers? · · Score: 1

Even if the waves were harder to make the moon would produce the same amount of energy methinks. That would make one wonder if the waves would get harder and harder to tap for our energy untill we just gave up. Wait a minute... if we stopped stopping up the oceans then it would be easy to make tides again and the lunar generatted tides would commense once more tempting the human redundance (sorry I can't spell) to tap it again!
