Applying the precedent set by software patents, I should be able to get a patent for "... any substance which causes people to enjoy themselves...". Then Johnson and Johnson could sick some sort of RIAA inspired analogue on these "pirates". That would avoid implementation details like chemical formulae and such.
The beloved enterprise arenâ(TM)t that discerning; gutless decisions based on trendy psychobabble (anybody remember Six Sigma), targeted advertising (in flight magazines), and prestige (we have two E10Kâ(TM)s for serving email alone).
Secondly, Enterprises are driven more by expediency than vision. You have a pile of Windows Admins; then Windows it is. The rep from vendor X has his tongue up your ***; you buy the latest crap from vendor X. CFOâ(TM)s cousin sells service Y; you get service Y.
The Enterprise is neither innovative nor a stimulus for innovation.
| The reason why evolution excludes a deity is because we have found no mechanism by which a deity can affect evolution
Thus, the lack of evidence is grounds for asserting that no other explanation is possible. Sounds vaguely like the âproofâ(TM) that evolution is junk because monkeys arenâ(TM)t still turning into humans. [ Although a fifth of Jack Daniels has been shown to produce the reverse ].
More to the point, Deities do not have to fit in some framework that says they affect evolution, or any other mundane process. I doubt you much basis to make claims about âreal-world religious beliefsâ(TM).
"I'm sure there are many slashdotters out there who believe that tech secrets should be free, but I don't think so. When you put effort into a project, only to have somebody else rip off your idea and implement it with none of that cost, and therefore they can implement it cheaper than you can, making your entire effort go to waste, is really underhanded and in my opinion unfair."
Regardless of my personal beliefs, I see no reason for evolution to exclude a deity or vice versa. This polarization reminds me of the sports mentality of US vs THEM; and it troubles me that seemingly able people are so hamstrung by such nonsense. Metaphysical belief is is a spectrum, and people subscribe to different regions of it. I'm proud of my 98% Chimp ancestors (although my better half thinks I'm too modest). I can relate to Christian Humanists; and can't relate to intolerant fanatics, regardless of faith. That is the party line. We didnâ(TM)t do it! It was a lone operator! Bush popularized the brat defence - stammer like a little shit and lie your ass off - but these guys have made an art form out of it. Ethics of a snake would be a unkind to the snake.

Fixed measurements, such as a number line or the 'natural numbers' offer a poor model of reality. Comparing apples to apples; few are equal. Some are bigger, more bruised, less ripe, more bitter. Hardly anything could be more alien than Euclidean space - we live on a mottled sphere. Straight lines are very much the exception. While convenient, 'intuitive' or 'natural' are hardly the best way to describe abstract shortcuts.
It was a best practice before C++ went bonkers... Maybe up to version 2; after that, why bother? The C++ code will eventually be thrown out, or if it is worth keeping, re-implemented in C anyways.
How about you tell us what USofA stands for first? Once again, posters, we don't all know everything about everything in the world. Some of us come here to learn new things, and you guys don't make it easy. TFP should at least leave me with an impression of whether or not I need to read, uh, the rest of TFP.

More likely crooked politicians and shady real estate developers. Scoobie Doo, we need you!
Iâ(TM)m certain those running IT depts would disagree; thats the whole point though, isnâ(TM)t it.
FWIW, QNX is an awesome choice; too bad RIM passed on using it for the original BlackBerry.
