The only reason ppl might want to save HC is because they have >3Gb of Stacks... It's a very old multi-media package, nice for it's time but IMO a bit dated now... Think of it as a database program with some multimedia capabilities.
I think the hard part in porting HC would be getting all those old stacks with all kinds of funky rsrc's in 'em running on X.
However, opensourcing the thing might be a Good Thing(TM)...
\. = slashdot
*sigh* there IS a difference between a slash (/) and a backslash (\)... slash is for all us L33T *nix ppl, backslash is for lame windoze-lusers =]
| = pipe for hard words remove vowels and double consonants and such.
care to explain?
Care to enlighten us "fucking retards"? A synopsis could help - of course we could never hope to understand a full text, let alone several.
Oh, and I'd also like to know where typing "dir" (or "ls" for that matter) comes in when booting unix. Maybe I'm using the wrong Unix here (MacOS X), but I can't type anything; the machine seems to go on some sort of auto-pilot.
Guess what? We didn't like it the first time around.
YOU didn't like it maybe, I didn't like it for sure, but millions of people (well, at least in Holland) watched it. Every e2fschking day.
However, that was real. Real people being locked into a house for three months, without phone, tv, net, whatever. No communication to the outside world. "Porting Sims to tv" (I love that phrase... porting to tv...) would be completely different. It would be "actors doing stuff".
Oh hell, they're not going to air it in Holland, so what the scandisk.exe do I care?
They don't.
Chances are they'll want this technology though, ruling the universe must sound interesting to them =]
BTW: "The Chandra data show us that giant black holes were much more active in the past than at present,"
In what way is a black hole active? does it play Zero Wing??

(dammit, I can't IRC, I can't read my private mail, I can't even SSH out of here *sob*)
... a kick-ass MP3 visualization plugin for ANY of CmdrTaco's MP3 players.
(just couldn't resist; I was also thinking about asking for a "Beowulf Cluster of these")

... if CmdrTaco's DSL isn't there by spring, this would make a kick-ass remote MP3-player.
