    The russians would need to launch three capsule. Since there were 7 people on the shuttle and only three can get into a Soyez. I also think that Russia only has one Soyez around at any time and it wasn't as close to being lauch ready as needed.

    They went from a poor emulation software to embedding a celeron chip inside of the Itanium2. Makes everything easier and so much faster.

    If need be the crew change missions could be flown using Soyez. The first crew went to ISS using Soyez and returned on the shuttle. The shuttle is still needed for constrution though. Especially since most pieces were designed to fly inside of the shuttle cargo bay.

    You mean there is a reason why they always say this is the last time in xxx years or the last time ever that you'll be able to buy something. I always thought they were going to close shop and go out of business. It makes about as much sense.

    If you need write new tricks to beat the correct security model, maybe DHTML is not the thing you should be playing with. Also, what does DHTML have to do with automatic installs?

    The sound and controllers are run by the orignal PSX chip. Part of the idea behind the PSOne was to reduce the size of the PSX so it could be integrated into the PS2. Sony has created a one chip PS2/PSX combo for use in the future consoles, so the future for their backward's compatiblity looks golden.

    While this is good, most people will remember him for going after Merrill Lynch for all types of charges related to fraud that the federal goverment wanted to overlook. His state office is doing more then federal offices like SEC and even aspects of DOJ. But what has ge gotten in return?

    Except he folded like a lawn chair. Remeber. Saying and doing are two different things. He talks the talk, but when it comes down to it he's not doing anything other than small fines on the "evil doers".

    Actually any card can be put in an AGP slot. It just seems that almost always it is a graphics card. There is nothing to prevent another card type from occupying that slot.

    You mean after learning C, you couldn't pick up Java really quick? I'd be fed up as well. They didn't even teach you the basics you need to be a good programmer in the first few years.

    Funny thing about Starbucks. It appears to have the complete oppisite effect on the economy other companies, say Walmart. It appears that when a Starbuck's moves in all the other coffee shops in town do better than they were doing before the Starbucks moved in and the local economy can support even more coffee shops. Sort of a coat tails effect. Unlike a Walmart that destroys 3 jobs for every 2 it creates.

    Yea. Like everything that runs on WinNT should run on Win2k without errors. Hell, even WinNT broke all sorts of things between SP3 and SP4. You're asking for impossible standards.

    But they don't break compatiblity within major release number 7.0-7.3, etc. And they release updates to those systems that don't break compatiblity without telling people. Unlike some other OS's with "real commerial priorities"

    Who knows whether the plane was shot down or just plane crashed. Any one who claims something either way is probably a fool.

    Somalia was the result of Bush I sending troops in there and expanding the mission. The bad stuff just seemed to happen after Bush left. And who says invading Iraq during the Clinton administration would of done any good. Bush I even decieded against it when they were pummling them the first time. Bosnia was more the result of the European Union not reacting than the US. They weren't even handling it all that well until the US forced NATO to step in. There hasn't been much trouble since then. And when the hell did we ever send troops into Rwanda? Overall Clinton did OK, but worse than the left and better than the right give him credit for. He'll probably be remembered for being impeached and the continually expanding economy during his years. Probably more than some other presidents would be remembered for. Everything can be seen with a tint of bias. Remember that even Rush Limbaugh was happy to see Bill Clinton elected since he knew it would mean 8 years of steady employment.

    No, because jeopardy was attached. The jury could of still found the defendant guilty. The judge could get in trouble for the system, but Elcomsoft is free as a bird.

    In that situtation why the hell would you be running a kernel like that. Run the RedHat kernel or the distro kernel. These people are paid to see that the interface breaks don't happen. And stop complaining when you vary from the distro that the things that used to work before now no longer work.

    A lot of times the Cable Companies by the rights to show local comercials on the channel. The actual companies actually have people watching the channels as broadcasted on the local cable to catch those who overwrite a number of local adds. They are slowly moving to machines to do this though. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

    Students in the states have credit cards. They're bombarded with offers the moment they walk into college. At the begining of the year you can't walk 5 feet without getting one. The $20 is really a non-issue.

    There was no sniffing on people's computers by sony. They just implemented a stronger protocol for their encryption. The sniffing was done by the cheaters on the packets going from the program you installed to sony's computers. Sony isn't invading your property, just making cheating harder.
