    Asphixiated? More like incinerated. Pure oxyigen will cause most anything to burn completely and pictures of the capsule showed only ashes left of the interior.

    Then of course there is TeX and any number of WYSIWY-won't-G word processors. I haven't used TeX much, I only tried my luck in writing a few letters (and found out that it is not suitable for this).

    Of course it is. Take a look at the
    Linux Documentation Project for example. Plus as an added bonus, writing Tex (or LaTeX) using vi is almost as fun as coding.

    Most people don't even realize it's the defective OS. Most people fall into 3 catagories;
    1) Think it's the hardware
    2) Think it's the programs
    3) Know it's the OS, but think all OS's do this because the problem is so complex.

    I've heard media reports of predictions of new computer technology of the future that will give us stable computers--they have no idea the *nix has been stable from day 1!!

    ...nuclear testing (and almost all other fluid dynamic problems) generally requires all of the cpu's to have high speed access to all of the memory.

    You are simply wrong here. In computational fluid dynamics we use clusters to solve elliptic PDE's by partitioning the domain and iterating.

    As for nuclear testing, I guess it's just a coincidence that DOE created C-Plant and Avalon.

    I think this is a good thing. This is essentially letting you vote with your clicker as to what shows should stay or go. Now when you change the channel in disguest from the latest NY Cop blood and guts show--your vote will be counted.
