Hey, according to *Dutch* standards, even American liberals are very conservative.
Thank you for exactly pointing out what I meant: there are other viewpoints in the world than the American ones, but it seems hard for some Americans to accept that this mere possibility even exists..

Abusive? To American standards? To Muslim standards? To Buddhist standards? Does this mean the entire world has to compy with a view of what is abusive that is typically American?
It is bad enough already that the com/net/org domains fall under American jurisdiction, now we have to comply with American conservatism too...

in general, you are right, but Scientology is a "relogion" that states that it's beliefs are more important than the law. For this reason, the German government has decided that it is not possible to do government work and be a member of the "church" at the same time.

Whether Scientology is a church at all is a different discussion. Im some countries they have been declared a criminal organisation in court verdicts.

This sounds a lot like all the things people said the last time: "Wait until feature X is ready in Linux".

Face it: The current version of Linux is tested against the current version of NT. Reading the article, it seems that enough people were there to tune everything on the Linux side, so just believe it: NT is better in some things than Linux. And surely, we can think of other circumstances where Linux or another OS is better than NT.

Linux is not the answer to every question.

The two things that definitely convinced me te use FreeBSD are the ports collection and cvsup.
The ports enable you to install 2000 different utilities with a single "make install".
cvsup allows you to keep up with all security patches with a 5 line script that is cronned every week.
But after using it for some time (after being a Linux user), the total consistency of the system is another good argument (although this is not a specific FreeBSD argument...)
