redacted is a word, and can be adequately used in that context.

Nope. I'm saying "Oh God! Not again!" But that's just me :) I think I'm going to turn off reparenting. The ACs and trolls of late are really starting to get on my nerves and I don't need some higher rated comment stimulating my interest.

  3. Windows Version? on Corel Wordperfect Office 2000 for Linux Beta Test · · Score: 2

Anyone else find it disturbing that the application for a Linux product beta test indicates "Windows version" as a required field?

  4. OT: That isn't flamebait? on Ex-Novell CEO praises FreeBSD · · Score: 1

The state of moderation on Slashdot is rather pathetic. The whole preaching to the choir thing is giving undeserving posts far too many points. I don't agree with the AC, nor do I agree with this joker.

Actually, it's based on something or other that runs on Zope. Sort of a Slash Lite, if you will. Well, feature-wise anyway. In fact, the formatting engine is just about the only thing not linked to at the bottom of the TECHNOCRAT.NET page.

  7. Just an off-topic aside... on The Folly of Faking Fan Sites · · Score: 1

I challenge you to name one form of hype(beyond the commercial, which I've seen only twice) that cost LucasFilms money on TPM. 'Bill Gates' nothin'! All hail Master Lucas, Dark Lord of Marketing!

Uh, I doubt you would be moderated down because it is a good suggestion, even though he specified it must run under Linux. This is all regardless of how childish your whining about 'linux biggots' sounds(to me at least).

Actually, it was. Lucas just didn't know if the others would be made or not.
