    right after receiving the lawsuit notice, Carmack used google search on how to wipe his hard drive and then did so on a bunch of computers and usb drives.

    Got a source for that?

    There can be multiple experiments for the same thing. For example pretty much any explosion myth had a small scale experiment, a full size experiment and sometimes even a medium scale experiment.

    Arguably, by publishing on Twitter, a medium well known for re-tweeting being normal behavior, you have implicitly granted permission.

    Retweeting gives credit to the original poster, which is all she was asking for.
