Blank passwords are not a problem. As has been pointed out repeatedly, blank passwords are not allowed for *remote* logins as required by this (non-)worm.
blank passwords are not allowed for remote logins. But I'm sure you knew that right? Because you know SO much about Windows, huh... just dont let the facts get in the way of a "me too" rant
I love how certain slashdotters love to say that the EU is larger than the US, as if we give a damn. It must be something that is told by Europeans to each other often, to make themselves feel better about their continuining inferiority. And I seem to recall the EU constitution was officially rejected just a few weeks ago!
Oh, shut the hell up. Anyone can sit back and spout slogans and emopty catch phrases. You are just a pathetic sheep... Of course you fit right in here on slashdot.
Vonage, etc. already *have* basic 911 service here in the U.S. It the *enhanced* 911 (E911) service, which automatically provides callback and location information, that is lacking and is getting so much attention lately.
The canadian ruling you link to only requires basic 911 service.
So much for the "meanwhile in Canada" superiority trip. I have never really seen one of those pan out. Eh?
Excuse me but if you are still running a 16-bit application, then you are in a very special situation. And you are keenly aware of that fact. So, you aren't going to be installing XP64, and I don't really see why you would want to in the first place.
I read about this on digg days ago.
Sorry, but it's true.
The uninstaller
Aren't ALL rootkits designed to not be detected?
Application isolation on a process boundary is a *FEATURE* of modern OS's, not a liability.
Can I have your XP CD key?
You mean like rain on your wedding day?

Warez the firefox patch?
I thought you guys said open sores software may have lots of security flaws, but gets patched quick? Apparently not.
Dont worry, Im sure Firefox flaws and Safari holes will be patched soon.
Yes, anyone who enjoys being rooted should certainly "enjoy" Firefox!
Of course it has been posted. But slashdot has shown repeatedly that
a) they dont mind posting a dupe
b) they worshipping everything Apple does
Combine (a) and (b) and you have a serious dupe-fest, which is what we have now.
So says the guy who can't afford it...

Looks like your site shows "mysterious future" articles before they are available to the public here on slashdot.
I guess you never heard of Monad. Look it up sometime.
Capital gains tax is only 25%. Any salary he would earn would certainly put him in a higher tax bracket.
Maybe we do need those taxes to fund our failing educational system.

No, *YOU* missed that point
If that's all you know about the president, you probably shouldn't be advertising that fact.

And by the way, doesn't Firefox have a popup blocker?
congratulations, you completely missed the point.
So who put the start menu in the bottom left? yep... you know it... just admit it...
