Plus who cares if it's a Time Crisis style game? There is far fewer of those types of games than FPS's and I'm sure there is still tons of unique stuff that could be added to that type of game. Plus I was hearing some pretty high numbers for their losses on the 360. Like $300+. That's pretty amazing if they're already breaking even on a system with those kind of specs. I'm impressed if it's true. We own 2 in our house and they're pretty amazing little systems.

Plus how many of those existing HDTV's can play HD movies right off a blu-ray disk? Won't they need HDMI or what not? Not all HDTV's have that right?
Blu-Ray is way too early. We need a few more years to catch up. I think it's going to flop.
I think if HD-DVD is really backwards compatible it has a good chance just because we could use existing players plus the extra space would be nice for backups and other PC uses, but I still don't think a whole bunch of HD-DVD movies would be sold.

It's not THAT bad. I mean the screen is better than the GBA SP (pre-back lit version). I've been perfectly happy with mine. It's been pretty rare that brightness is an issue for me.
It is a little bulky but not any more so than the PSP. It's a lot more durable too.
My only complaint is that it's a little top heavy so playing games like Mario Kart gets tiresome after a while.
For $130 I can't think of any reason not to buy one. You could probably get a decent trade in for it when you upgrade to a lite but personally I'd keep it for when a friend comes over. Multiplayer Meteos is bad ass as well as Mario Kart and Metroid.
I always find my self wishing I had a few extra DS's laying around. (4 or so would be nice)

My old GBA SP can go forever. I don't think I ever ran it completely out of batteries before I decided to charge it just to be safe.
Well if people purchased a PSP, a movie and a game and nothing else then it doesn't matter if PSP sales are neck and neck with DS sales. The DS is the clear winner. The point is that media for the PSP isn't doing so hot and that is where the money is at.

It's a decent pinball game. Not great, but fun for the most part.
I don't get around to playing it often because I have too many other great DS games I'd rather play.
Shoot most of the 8 year olds I know play GTA3 (sad but true).
But you're right. My daughter is 4 now and it's nice having kid friendly games out there.
