How about the fact that they spend more time trying to prevent people from playing emulators and other cool shit on the PSP than they do making games worth a crap? What about the fact that in America you can't purchase the PSP with out spending $250 and that's with out getting a game. Just so you can get a worthless save cart that you'll need to upgrade if you plan on using all those cool features the PSP has like playing music and movies. Where is the $200 option? (It's coming I hear..). Uhhm.. Where are the games? There are like 3 that I find great tops. (Lumines, wipeout and GTA).
BTW Surfing on the PSP pretty much sucks. I know the DS browser will cost money but that's partly because it'll be a better browser (Opera) and it also comes with a GBA cart that will be used for extra Memory to make surfing better (Yeah I know the DS doesn't have much onboard, but shit the PSP doesn't have nearly enough either.. Hit a few sites and you'll be running out of memory like crazy)
I agree. And another thing. The speed of the game is nothing like the sluggish feeling of Quake 3. I would compare it to Quake 1. Not talking about quick deaths here but the speed of how your player moves. I feel like it's more of a Quake 1 style death match but the players take a lot more work to kill heh..
I actually prefer it being easier to kill people. I like to kill quick and I like to die quick. Keeps the game fast and fun like the good old Doom/2 Days;)
Final Fantasy? Grand Theft Auto (6+ games and another on the way?), Metal Gear? Splinter Cell? Ghost Recon? Madden? wait wait here's a good one... Need for Speed....or should I say damn near any EA game? Grand Turismo? Do you think they'll stop making Halo after #3?
Everybody wishes the hand a franchise like Mario games. Don't fool your self.
I place my money on T-Rex being a scavenger not a hunter.
If you have seen any of the recent discovery channel shows on the subject you'd know what I mean.
There seems to be strong evidence that t-rex was actually a scavenger and very little to support that it was a hunter.
It's not built right for moving left and right at high speeds so it only takes a few moves to throw it off course. (left, right then left again or something along those lines)
It's legs aren't built for running. (the top bone in the leg is longer than the bottom bone. fast running animals usually have it the other way around)
Its arms are too small to pick its self up. If it falls it probably dies. (it won't be able to catch its self from the fall so it'll break bones and it won't be able to pick its self up after the fall)
The part of its brain for detecting scent is huge.
Nobody denies that HD games look sweet. We're talking money here. Are there a significant enough number of HD TV's out there? If less than a million people are going to play your games in HD is it worth all the money Sony and Microsoft are pouring into it this generation? It might not make a difference at all and then Nintendo can jump on the bandwagon next generation when it's actually worth their time and money. They'll basically be using Sony and Microsoft to lay the foundation. It seems pretty smart to me.
I agree. I'd like freedom to move within a stage but still a focus on trying to kill everybody in the room. Not so much running and gunning like quake.
The ability to move would be cool for multiplayer so you can set up strats. and try to flank the other team etc..
Kind of like GRAW but with maps that aren't so distant.
Sure but comparing current shooting games like Time Crisis to Duck Hunt is worse than comparing up and coming FPS and 3rd person shooters like Gears of War and Halo 3 to Wolf 3D.
I mean there isn't anything to Duck Hunt. You stand in one place. The level never changes, and the ducks fly faster each round.
The guy was just being a dick by comparing the two.
You're hardly what I consider grandmother material
Yeah, it sounds like you're talking about Children of Mana which just came out for the DS in Japan
http://ds.ign.com/objects/695/695657.html
I'm with you. I loved Secret of Mana.
I can't freaking wait for this game to come out here.

No. It won't be Japanese only.
There is no probably about it buddy
Shoot man the 10 million mark was past a LONG time ago.. It's creeping up on the 15 million mark or higher now if I'm not mistaken.
Go buy Meteos if you don't have it. You won't regret it. Multiplayer Meteos is the most fun I've ever had playing a puzzle game.
:-\
If you don't have it buy it QUICK because they might have quit production on the game

God I miss that.
hahaha that was pretty funny who ever you are
Sure why not. Old women need love too. Even if they have to get you drunk first.
One more thing. Don't forget how long Nintendo has been around. They have consoles and arcade games streching back further than 25 years.
.5?)
They are coming up on their 5th generation of console.
2.5 generations of Gameboys (gameboy color
The Virtualboy or whatever it was called.
The Nintendo DS.
Game and Watch's.
Arcade games. (Donkey Kong, Mario, Killer Instinct etc..)
Maybe when Sony and Microsoft have that kind of history under their belts they'll have 20+ versions of their most valued franchises also.

Not if your arthritis keeps acting up you wont.

Tons of other things that I can't remember.
Waste? Oh please. You've obviously never been to Las Vegas.
I don't consider NIN's music in Quake an ad.
What about product placement in games like Tony Hawk and NFS?
They sure as hell lasted a lot longer than any radio controlled toy I ever owned
That would be pretty sad if so.
Don't people have imaginations anymore?
I mean seriously.. Programmers and Gamers thinking there is nothing more to games than what we're doing now or have done in the past?
Why don't we just give up on the space program, science and math and just concentrate on what we have now?
sigh
I dunno man 360 games look pretty sweet on my old TV.
Condemed and COD2 are both pretty sweet even if you're not playing in HD.

hahaha I remember the neighbor kid doing that.
(does it make any sense to put that technology into a normal controller? you have to use both hands to hold it. kind of annoying)
Sure but comparing current shooting games like Time Crisis to Duck Hunt is worse than comparing up and coming FPS and 3rd person shooters like Gears of War and Halo 3 to Wolf 3D.

The same way you change channels with your TV remote?
Didn't they start selling the controller with the PS1 eventually and basically standardize on it?
Don't forget you could still play old games with the new controller so it wasn't that big of a deal.
What are they going to do with the PS3? Ditch all the games that use standard controller so they can ship a Revolution rip off?
Or do you think they might ship both and take an even bigger hit for each console sold?
