    jMax is available on the following platforms:
    SGI stations: Indy, O2, Origin, Octane, Onyx with R4000, R5000, R10000 and R12000 processors. Supported audio interface are the built-in audio interfaces and the ADAT board ref. PCI-AUD-ALL. Linux for Intel processors. Supported audio interfaces are the cards supported by the OSS driver.
    Porting on Linux Power-PC, Linux Alpha, MacOS X and Windows-NT are in progress.

    Wohoo! Even us Linux-impaired will get to hack sound!

    Virgin Entertainment Group launched a new kiosk service Thursday that will allow in-store customers to burn Internet music onto CDs for purchase.

    They seem to have found a way of cashing in the MP3 craze. Provide high-bandwith Net access, let user download on his own, charge for the CD-R.

    I think the CAP did an accurate review of SP-BLU. If you do want to know about the level of vulgarity etc. etc., it's a legitimate way of doing it. I can use this information and make a judgment about the movie myself. However they should keep the moral judgment of the viewer to themselves. God (pick yer favorite) gave us intelligence and independent thought. Hell will freeze over before I let one of his (self-appointed) representatives tell me how to think. That would be squandering these two gifts.

    Try Look (www.look.ca). They are much cheaper than cable. They broadcast digitally from land based towers as opposed to satellites.

    Just a couple more months and you'll be able to say fuc^h^h^hgoodbye to TedTV. On the bright(?) side, this means that we're gonna get MSNBC on the lineup...

    I like the idea of having caps if you hit the keys harder. It's a damned cool idea, as soon as you get used to it, and stop habitually using the shift key, it would it would work

    No VHS format???

    Not a big deal, considering that big video rental places usually buy dozens of copies for the initial release, then repackage and sell the extra copies as 'previously viewed' for, say, $19.95.

    Altough why would anyone would get in in any other format than DVD is beyond me.

    (Oh quit complaining and just go pick up a DIVX/DVD player, I hear the prices dropped considerably ;-)

    It's a little tablet that contains iron powder. A magnetic stylus pulls the powder thru a hex grid and it 'stains' the glass. A magnet strip erases the pictures by pulling the powder back under.

    Crude, but the essential design is the same--moving trapped particles of ink around.

    Wassup is that to make it into Google, your site has to be referenced by OTHER sites, preferably related to your content.
    That's why searches return mostly relevant sites and NO insert-lots-of-keywords-to-fool-you-into-looking-a t-my-xxx-ads trolling sites.

    It's hard to turn up a search page that isn't stuffed full of months-old and outdated pages sometimes.

    Have you tried the cached link? Most of the time, if a page is no longer out there, it's in Google's cache. Very useful.

    RF scanners aren't allowed to be sold that are tunable to cell phone frequencies and haven't been salable for some time.
