Mozilla, NS6 has even better cookie blocking support. You can choose to block cookies from a domain. You can delete unwanted cookies and optionally refuse cookies from the deleted cookies domain, etc.

Blocking all cookies seems a bit stupid since they have such value when used properly.

I am so sick of this argument. Does this mean you can go to the local BurgerWop and steal a few burgers, but tip the underpaid frontline staff a few bucks. These poor underpaid artists are there because they signed contracts and wanted the marketting and distribution given by these bastard RIAA companies. See Harmony Central for an insiders view on why traditional RIAA approaches are good for quite a bit of artists.

That is just such a bad analogy.

What was mentioned means cutting out the middle man. Getting rid of the overhead that has been the only choice to make it big but leaves the artisits standing their w/ their preverbal balls in their hand.

If the artists leave the record company and start making their music digitally available, they stand to make much more money. Hell, they could probably make more money just off banner adds on their site.

The whole argument is irrelevant anyways. This is not going to stop. Not even for you clif.

The overall viewpoint is that directx is still a horrible API (this would include directx 7).

Perhaps you have a snappy comeback for David Joffe's article which is up to date.

The argument wasn't only that directx is a nightmare but that OpenGL was much easier to accomplish the same results.

Do you want to work to get this performance? No? Then get another job. Not smart enough to understand all the issues at play? Then get another job.

Or get a job working with a better API than the POS that is DirectX. Why would someone want to work w/ a non-portable, nightmare protocol like directx when there are simpler, portable solutions unless they are a masochist(or have some sort of 37337 complex)? It's a pretty obvious answer to me.
