another problem, using your computer as an example. lets say a laptop comes with 128GB drive, but there's a 32GB partition so it's marketed as a 96GB drive. Well if I'm joe consumer and I replace the factory drive with a 128GB drive from best buy, then I'm still going to end up with 96GB of free space! WTF now I'm going to sue the hard drive manufacturer for lying on the box about how much HD space I would get! There's no good way to resolve this issue, other than for consumers to understand that of the hard drive specs on the box, a portion will be taken up by an OS.
that's exactly what's changed. there's a group of people who were used to being on top for no reason of their own doing. others are like "god this guy's an asshole and I'm fed up with it because there's no reason he's on top". so he's not on top any more but he's really butthurt about it, which is what #gamergate is all about. so to all of these assholes, I'm saying wake up because the problem is you, not everybody else in the world.
think whatever you want, man. but when you feel like being an asshole, own it and say i'm an asshole. don't say I am just saying my mind and you're too politically correct if you take offense.
if google is going to massively deploy their fiber service, then many more computers will be infected with malware. can anybody recommend a good antivirus software package?
i'm so over this idea of political correctness. here's all it means: some assholes want to continue to be unmitigated assholes, just like they remember being "in the good old days." However, people are tired of putting up with their bullshit any more. so the assholes came up with this term "political correctness" to be like "i can say whatever I want, and if you don't like it then you are just bing politically correct." maybe you should jsut stop being assholes, k? the world has changed.
contracts are voluntary. if two parties make a contract then equity is a matter of negotiation. here's your problem though - copyright is a social contract, and can only be made at the aggregate level. which means that if you want to change it then you need to make everybody else agree with you.
this is the same as for all social contracts - like criminal law, or property rights. tl, dr, don't be a douche. my troops are done so I'm going to play CofC.
the problem is let's say apple takes a noob-friendly approach and advertises the exact amount someone would see if they checked available space on day one. say instead of 8GB, 7.1GB. I can see apple liking this idea. But then Sammy will take the more selfish approach and keep saying "we have an 8GB phone!". Then ppl will say why would I pay for apple when I get 20% more storage with sammy? it's self-defeating.
next lawsuit: at walmart the price on the shelf is different than the price at the register due to sales tax. class action!
Apple wants to avoid cases where users blame Apple for sluggish application performance, skipping music/video, bugs, etc... that are a result of something that Apple can't control or exert influence over.
You mean like how when Apple purposefully degrades the performance of older iOS devices when a new iOS version is out (that won't run on the older hardware)?
citation pls? you're saying that if my phone is too old to run ios8, then apple will take steps to make ios7 more unstable and bloated? link or it didnt happen.
to the best I could determine seigniorage is the cost of making money, eg metals, printing presses, etc. There were some historical uses but those don't work any more.
that's awesome. Appropriate actions would be to "vote with your wallet" as in do not buy some stuff, instead buy other stuff. Other appropriate actions would be through voting / the political process, discourse / advocacy, etc. Inappropriate actions are theft. I can't believe I have to explain this to you.
FWIW I agree with you. But I'm not a high-minded thief who tries to cloak my petty thefts with noble aspirations.
well, here's the deal. you didn't make the movie. you don't make movies. othr people do this and it's their job and they want to get paid for it. they make contracts with people to get paid. if you don't want to sign the contract (eg, click the EULA/TOS, etc etc) then don't watch the movie. your position is untenable. it's like me going into a store and saying, i think the price on this TV is too high so I'm just going to steal it instead. get it now?
Or get a wifi hotspot and attach it to a network enabled printer. Google FreedomPop, they have cheap wifi cellular plans. Presumably the bandwidth needs are low.
cool. then boycott copyrighted works and advocate for changing the law. don't steal. is that what you want to teach your kids?

what if you do a wipe back to factory settings?
cool story bro. what's this got to do with being a white guy in a majority-black city?

the "radical american experiment" in popular rule has changed the world. can that be said about other countries?

also you can revert back to the phone's original OS at any time. like magic, get all your storage shizz back.

what kind of fraud do you think it is? seems kinda straightforward.

i take supplements so I don't have any external "bugs" either inside or out. you should try it!
nothing wrong with being a letch.
i thought steven colbert killed the satire genre
yes 100%. one thing that america has proven over through 200 years of history is that the profit motive does not create the best country on earth /s

Yeah but that's google's problem, not the submitter's problem

it's not an acronym, it's a portmanteau like CalTech.
is it true that all police officers in canada have to dress like mounties when they're on duty?
