Of all the games I've ever played, The TotalWar series of games (by Creative Assembly) have had the most replayability for me. These include Shogun:TotalWar, Medieval:TotalWar, Rome:TotalWar, and Medieval2:TotalWar. These games are similar to the Civ series, but I believe they are superior. If I were stuck on a desert island and had the ability to play computer games, Medieval2:TotalWar would entertain me forever.
I'd like to think there is some remaining shred of reality in the actual acting job an actor does. I realize the various awards ceremonies (golden globe, oscars, etc.) are somewhat rigged to begin with, but this will shatter my illusions a little more. Was that actress really that good at acting, or was it post-production touch-up?
I saw Minority Report yestereday and they showed the teaser trailer for Solaris before that movie. Imagine two sysadmins of Sun machines sitting there seeing that and freaking out ("AAHH, we can't escape!"). Fortunately, I read the book and saw the russian made movie and quickly relayed what it was to my friend.
Btw, Minority Report is the most fun "tech" movie I've seen in a long time. It's worth seeing just for all the future gadgetry ideas.
I work for one of the big pharmaco's. Over the last few months we've seen a serious acceleration in the amount of data coming in from these projects. They expect to have storage requirements of near a petabyte within 4 years as they crunch all this new data. Sun is going to love us...
