Absolutely. I have NEVER got a bad rip on Audiogalaxy.
There's also one thing you forgot to mention. Audiogalaxy picks who you download from. You can sort of control it by picking a specific bitrate/filesize of the MP3, but you are pretty much guaranteed a download for all but the most obscure songs. I have always got my file.
Free tip for CA denizens: The Plan to steal your cars from you via smog regs is already well underway. Start fighting it now. Basically it combines (1) smog check rules DESIGNED TO FAIL A PERCENTAGE of cars (with an eventual goal of 97% of all cars over 10 years old) with (2) rules that make it ILLEGAL to keep an unregistered vechicle on your property. (1) + (2) = State power to STEAL YOUR CARS and crush them into cubes. See http://www.geocities.com/CapitolHill/1223/sb42/smo gflyer_5.html for more details.
No, I do. Read ASUS's web site. The English there is top-notch. I've read many motherboard manuals, and none are quite as bad as this.
I'm never going to post on Slashdot again, they talk about freedom of speech and all that, yet they only hear what they want to hear. Looks like I'm going to have to find a new news site. Oh well.
I'm going to post the same message I posted on Blue's News to save time, I'm getting tired and I haven't had my java fix tonight...
LOL, just read the Press Release and you can see that it's clearly a fake:
"secrete weapon" - Sorry, I already have a secrete weapon, and it's good enough for me.
"3D SeeThrough TM" - Uhh...that's a bad name. I don't think ASUS would think of that. They'd probably think of something like L4023V092...
Why does the author include adventure games?
"Because the only result is to loose" - I get a loose girl if I lose to a person running these purported drivers? Oh man, I REALLY don't want to go up against someone with these "bad world evil onlinegame drivers".
It's really too bad Slashdot reported on this too. I'm sure the only reason that this guy did this is to get hits on his half-rate website.
One thing that's pretty funny is that he says there is software that will do this already out there. That's like saying, "Oh, how did that bloody murder weapon get there? Sheesh! People always do that to me, you know, framing me for murders and everything..."
I live in Medford Oregon( I'm a statistical anomaly, I'm not a hillbilly =P ). US West STILL continues to shrug off the people that want DSL here(yeah, both of us). This probably won't do any good for us. Luckily, I'm moving to Seattle, probably this month. 768k SDSL, here I come!
BTW, a few days ago there was a fire at the Central Office here. That's right, a fire at the CENTRAL OFFICE. Almost completely knocked out phone service to the entire area, as this is the ONLY CO in many miles. Reportedly it took out the main power supply, lots of lines, and a few routers. NOT good for their rep.
I live in Southern Oregon(Meth, err, Medford to be exact). This stuff is ALL OVER the place here. Buy a $500 computer, send in the rebate, so now it's a $100 Celery 333 with a 66 MHz bus, 32 MB RAM, and an "AGP" 8 MB Video Card that for all we know is probably 64-bit. Medford's full of dumb-asses when it comes to computers though, so lots of people buy this stuff.
I'm 14 years old, and I would really, really, REALLY not like that.
I'm sure a 14 year old girl would hate it even more.
A lot of children go by plane. I was 8 years old when I was put on a plane alone. I went from Butte, MT-Portland-LAX and back again. I also went with my brother from Medford-SFO-LAX. All that time, it was just metal detector after metal detector.
I personally would refuse to fly if they had to put me through that thing.
I'm 14 years old. I've been using Linux since I was 12, starting with Slackware 3.2. I'm much, much smarter about computers than most adults.
By US law, I cannot be legally bound to contracts. That also means I could legally violate the GPL. But would I? HECK NO!
In my mind, common sense comes over law. I would never, even take advantage of loopholes such as that, especially when it comes to GPL and the free software dogma. Basically, my karma did not, and will not, run over the dogma.
Not like I would download or even use Corel Linux anyway...I'm happy with Slackware 7.0, thank you!
Pong was the first VIDEO game, not computer game. Two completely different things. BTW, if you want to play REAL Pong, ask me for Poing. It's an open-source pong clone I made for DOS. Not the greatest, as it is my first C game...
How ironic that the Chinese government agrees with the open-source ethos, but doesn't agree with democracy. The two are very similar if you think about them.
*laughs* Oh man...companies like these make me wanna laugh. They will definitely gain some stock price from clueless investors, but I'm sure the real Linux users will just laugh evilly. Although I hate Red Hat, I can't support a company(if even that) that blindly takes away everything we stand for.
Oom...ooom....I see a web site crack in their future...ooom
I, personally, am indifferent, due to US West having a complete grip on the West(not CA). US West's Internet *cough* service *cough* is a joke, and they absolutely REFUSE to deploy DSL anywhere but the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
If they can buy out US West I would be happy. But if Falcon Cable can get their butts in gear and get cable modems here like they SHOULD have 3 months ago, I'll be even happier.

Animals have been hunted for centuries. Nothing new.
I'm sure that you are aware that most people that buy those kind of games are country music listening, pickup truck driving hicks that can't afford games like Half-Life or Quake 2, much less be able to play them on their Pentium-133s.
"It seems we have a new source of FUD. Don't buy Linux because your kids'll play Quake or Doom!!! I sure hope that type of argument doesn't take hold in the media."
Linux isn't known as a gaming platform, and probably never will be unless the big companies start to give in.
"It's getting on my nerves that so many people want to connect Doom and Quake to the shootings, and aren't willing to connect that simple fact that for millions of years, humans were hunters."
Exactly. Why are they complaining about video games that have only been around since the 70s, while this is a problem that is human nature. It's like that "Boycott Violence" web page that I found. Yeah, let's boycott the human mind. Let's boycott testosterone. DOWN WITH PUBERTY! Let's get everyone castrated!
I have been playing games since I was 5 years old. I started programming when I was 8. I first played DOOM at 9. I am now 13, and I am getting great grades, I have never touched a gun, but I have gone on shooting rampages in the labs in Half-Life. I like seeing the poor scientists getting their brains blown out. But it still horrifies me when a school shooting occurs. Most of it is because of the loss of life, but some of it is the media having an influence on people, and turning the USA's gaming control from simple ratings to Germany-like outright bans.

Yeah, and they're gonna take your guns away, too.
No, I do. Read ASUS's web site. The English there is top-notch. I've read many motherboard manuals, and none are quite as bad as this.

It's too bad that most real hacking texts are older than most of these "5kR1pt k1dD135" are.
