It's well done. It's a shame that it isn't more well-distributed. The woman that did the documentary traveled all over the world and hung out at the L0pht, went to Germany to visit CCC, and Holland to hang out with Hack-Tic. It's a tad old now (done in 1994), but still interesting.
There were children in the compound. I really doubt that a bunch of pre-school aged kids could shoulder an AR-15, let alone fire it on auto, or lob grenades for that matter.
The destroyer problem they had was because the boats are using WinNT for command & control. They were having lots of problems with them blue screening, and stopping dead in the water. Not a good thing to have happen in a battle, that.
Why should we have to help *anyone*? I didn't grow up rich. In fact, in the late 80's I was trash picking computer parts out of dumpsters behind universities just so I could have a computer to use. You can't tell me they can't pick up a used 486 out of the trash and make it work. I see lots of them on the street every trash day. If they want it bad enough, it's out there. I can't stand notions of entitlement.
Trying to get XDSL in Philadelphia is like the Cheese shop skit from Monty Python: Do you have ADSL in this area? no. SDSL? yes. wait, no. Cable Modem? Fresh out. Do you have any high speed internet access? Yes! Can I get some? no.
I guess they expect this to get them some goodwill after they pull the suit. I say they can still go to hell.

I think they forgot to mention that when the computers locked up, they were running windows. Having a HERF gun near it was entirely a coincidence.
I can't believe that people would be pacified by this trite little statement. Microsoft should be collectively taken out back and shot.
