See, I knew some libertaritard was going to interpret it that way.
I mean in the sense of why the mfr doesn't develop an upgrade kit and sell it worldwide instead of simply pulling out of the States so they didn't have to deal with it, that illustrating how companies tend to not give a shit about the greater good until they're compelled.
Which neatly illustrates why we need environmental regs in the first place: if you're not going to make me, I won't bother doing something that'll benefit everyone. There must be a way to sell "makes your existing stove less polluting for a relatively low price" but they didn't want to bother.
And if they change those building codes, we'll see headlines reading something like "GOVERNMENT FORCES CHANGE ON ALL HOMEOWNERS". Just like we did here when that fuckwit with a partisan axe to grind posted a story about EPA requiring all *new* wood-burning stoves to have cleaner emissions, except he worded the submission so it sounded like *all* stoves would have to be so modified and then kept arguing that way after he'd been shown to be a liar.
It's a cinch that the childless dipshits giving parenting advice don't think twice about advising other people about things they have no first-hand knowledge of. Dunning-Kruger is real.
I think we can count subs as being at least indirectly involved in the Solomons since they were interdicting Japanese shipping all over the Pacific, including supplies that were destined for there.
For a time during the Guadalcanal campaign, USS Enterprise was our only carrier in the whole Pacific Ocean and it had been somewhat damaged in the Battle of Santa Cruz. We didn't have much choice but to rely on surface combatants and submarines.
It's not a patch for the IDE, it's for the runtime for programs built with that version of Visual Studio (there are such runtimes for all versions of VS). It sounds like the computer can freeze during patch installation.
I'm defining idiot as "person who is willfully ignorant of how things really are", actually. Nobody on the right nationally caring about social issues, indeed. That level of [self-deception|barefaced lying] isn't worthy of being dignified with a response.
At the national level, few on the right really care that much about social issues right now
The conservative base has grown quite tired of "establishment candidates" that are inoffensive to the Democratic base, or the mainstream media (but I repeat myself)
The name was given by Republicans trying to scuttle the project because Gore supported it. It's hardly unusual for US conservatives to engage in name-calling.
I s/wheezy/jessie/ in/etc/apt/sources.list and did apt-get update/dist-upgrade, and on first blush at least it seems to work. There seems to be a viable upgrade path until someone else steps in to make a Debian respin, at least.
I like Crunchbang because the maintainer put a lot of thought into the Blackbox configuration. It's basic, but very usable out of the box and discoverability's really helped by the default wallpaper featuring several helpful hotkey combinations.
I'm disappointed because it'd take a good deal of effort to replicate this off of stock Debian.
That sort of slug isn't going to be terribly useful against an armored ship: it'll go straight through and make a relatively small hole. For unarmored targets like destroyers (or infantry) you must have an explosive warhead.
Gosh, maybe they could offer a kit with computer control and sensors that will notice these things and handle them automatically.
You're arguing just to argue.
And hey, speaking of fucking tools, ^^^.
To say nothing of speculators.
Pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps conservatives make the most hilarious self-appointed victims, don't they?
Which is why the teabagger protests started right after Republicans were safely out of office in the wake of '08, I'm sure. Don't be a fucking tool.
Oh, you're a denier. Fuck off, then.

It's a shame the company didn't offer a retrofit kit to bring the old design into compliance.
Same observation as with the other AC: you say that like there'd be a different reaction for a guaranteed fix.

The reaction to this idea would of course be HOW DARE YOU SPEND MONEY AND TELL ME WHAT TO DO WHARRGARBL, because 'murrica.

DING DING DING! We have a partisan idiot!

Occam's Razor: he knows perfectly well what's going on and is taking the piss.

Different management team.
