    So many people don't know that you can install a different browser; for them a smartphone is just as much an appliance as their toaster.

    Which Nexus device are you using, exactly? Cyanogenmod might be an option; I've upgraded my Droid 4 to 4.4.4, and the last official release for that device is IIRC 4.1.2.

    Anecdotally, I can't think of a mouse I've had that problem with for the past umpty years. Perhaps it's poor technique? I tend to arch my fingers over the mouse's front end and touch the buttons with the tips.

    I used one of those vertically-oriented mice briefly, couldn't get the hang of it and switched back after a few hours.

    $69 for a mouse, especially a specialty one like you're wanting, is not that much. The only alternative is going to be buying a good used one from eBay.

    Android back around 2.0/2.1 was fairly crap out of the box. It got better, but it was overall inferior to iOS when I got my old Droid.

    On the other hand, Android mfrs tend to either provide just 1-2 updates or not at all, and those phones sell pretty well.

    Where've you been? We've been on a constant upgrade path since the first computer. MS et al are under no obligation to support old software perpetually. You're free to keep using Windows NT 4.0, but don't expect to keep it virus-free if you have it on the Internet or to support new hardware.

    No, your true vendor wouldn't care about something being EOL'd and thus would never bother updating their product to work with something more modern than Windows XP SP2 and IE6.
