Posix is there, otherwise it would not be BSD, but it also has Carbon, Cocoa, Quarts, and OpenGL. It should be significantly easier to port from OS X to linux than from win32 to linux. IIRC ID used to develop on NeXT and then port to windows.

I'm pretty sure that Jobs killed OpenStep for win32, very sad for windows users.

You used to be able to create OpenStep apps under win32.
One of the points that they make on the site, is that it only produces about the same amount of polution as a typical home furnace. While that means that I will be producing more polution over here in Souther California... in colder climates, that would mean an overall general reduction in polution.
One of the more frightening aspects of this is the security implications... I'm sure that the owner of the OpenSSH.org site has good intentions, whatever they are, but he could put contaminated binaries and / or source on his site. This could be code that has various security vulnerabilities with it, etc... This is especially dangerous in software who's express purpose is to help secure your system.
Now I honestly dont think he's going to do that, but it is a valid concern.
This is going to sound like flamebait.. but.. like NetworkSolutions never messes anything up.. I wouldnt put it past them having the wrong registration dates in their database.
And considering that slashdot was originally a site done by a college student, not for profit, it makes perfect sense. It is just in recent history that it has really become anything remotely near a comercial venture.
Actually, if I remember correctly, NT suffered from the same single threaded IP stack, until service pack 5, interestingly just a week or so before the Mindcraft Event.

Just write on it Refused, return to sender. That works nicely. They get it back at expense, and then they know that you dont want their mail.

Slashdot is not the only source of news.. if you check OpenBSD Journal there has been mention of this for several days now.

Perhaps, it has something to do with the main focus of the movie being escape from the technological confines of the rest of the world?
What I did, is make a directory with 20 subdir's in it. Then I did a..
..
will@servername:/home/will/tmp/slash_test > ls
st_1 st_11 st_13 st_15 st_17 st_19 st_20 st_4 st_6 st_8
st_10 st_12 st_14 st_16 st_18 st_2 st_3 st_5 st_7 st_9
will@servername:/home/will/tmp/slash_test > ps ax | grep wget | wc -l
20
will@servername:/home/will/tmp/slash_test > foreach file ( st_* )
foreach? cd $file
foreach? wget -b -r -l 4 http://209.207.224.40
foreach? cd
foreach? end
Continuing in background.
Output will be written to `wget-log.2'.

Actually the TNT2's are price comperable to the new voodoo's
At least he was man enough to use his own name, and in my opinion its not really as much an issue of drugs, as privacy.
Personally I have never done any drugs, but still would not take a job that required a drug test.
