Is'nt that the point of copyleft and the GNU licsences so that this sort of thing is more difficult to do? If not they might want to tighten them up so we still have open source but that no one can trade mark someone elses work for royalty cash
Heres a intresting scenario, MS makes ALL Apps, OS's and the rest availble to rent, buying is no longer a option, no those that refuse to ever upgrade (and I'm sure MS will find a way to make rented s/ware that only works over the net or something dogdy)like those that use win 3.1 still well MS loses money here, but if they pay rent for the future stuff but don't upgrade they stilll need to pay the rent.
I seem to remember a law in the US being paraded I don't now if it was passed but it was for the remote disableing of software...not a nice combo really:(
Fair enougth but one of tyhe reasons Linux is still advoided by non PC peaple is that they don't have a clue about PC's and M$ winblows does it all for them, even tho it sux, its simple to install and use. With what Caldera's done with luck will convince non PC ppl to cross over to Linux and dump buggy ol winblows:o)
just looked at the site (I just HAD to see this)strangly enougth they hav PLENTY in stock
I know this is kinder negative but even tho RTMarks is not part of etoy they are goona be linked somehow by the mainstream media:o(
