    Nobody is forcing you to use Unity. Sure it's the default, but the "classic" Gnome 2 desktop is still there.

    Microsoft has a history of shoving features down users throats no matter how much they complain. People loathed Clippy, so what did Microsoft do? They added an animated dog to Windows XP.

    Google Video allowed very long videos, something around 2 hours. On YouTube, the maximum length is 15 minutes!

    Given this, the important question is: how can we migrate our old favorite MST3k episodes that are still on Google Video?

    But then why do you need a separate browser for that? Why can't you just have an extension that ads a Twitter sidebar or whatever?

    Hell, there's even a Firefox extension that lets you browse SQLite files, I don't see why they couldn't have a social media aggregation extension.

    I have a computer that I use for BluRay playback. They play fine on the primary monitor, but on my secondary monitor? Nope!

    Thanks to HDCP, I have to crack movies that I legally own (with AnyDVD HD) in order to watch them. Most of the time it's easier for me to pirate a movie than mess with BluRay.

    I'm not sure those are cloud-y enough. There needs to be more in the way of webservices, AJAX, and maybe a VM or two.

    I guess CVS, Firefox, Linux, GNU Make, etc. didn't catch your eye years ago?
