When I was an adolescent I finally gained the ability to introspect on myself and on rules that make this world work, and I found that no matter how hard I tried I was unable to replicate the thoughts in my head onto paper and feel reasonably confident that I was reasoning correctly.
IMHO, AI is more than just a way to profit off of individual consumers' weaknesses.
I, and probably a lot of other people out there, would be very interested in knowing how to create a 'vacuum' program that could know it all. This power would be abused within months after creation, but at least it would be in the hands of the people, not in some giant's arms, so abuse wouldn't span too far.
I recently took the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) test over writing, and wrote an essay with complete nonsensical information, but that was logically structured and scored well.

Hackers will hack, whether via email, 0-days, social engineering, or other fresh-off-the-wall ideas.
It takes in CO2, but what does it put out? Does it output soot and (in the small print) NO / NO2?
Maybe that is why there are no aliens, FTL rips their system to shreds.
