When a BIG CO is confronted with a security flaw, by someone outside the CO, they react in anger first, then fear, then they turn one the person/persons who confronted them. When you distill all the emotional cruft, it's that their pride was hurt. Never mind someone did "their" homework for them. They want to"save face".It makes them angry that YOU did something they should have done. No sharing of information for the common good, with arrogant pricks.:)
PS Starbuck$ is overpriced sludge anyway. Micky Dee's is better.:)

I don't know if that is true or not. Since I moved to Southern California, it has occurred to me that if I had a kid, I don't know what kind of menial summer job they could get. The things I used to do are just not options for a kid here. Cut grass? That is already dominated by day laborers and professional get ups. Flip burgers? I do see some younger people doing that but it appears to be far more dominated by adults than where I grew up. Paper delivery routes are done by adults. Hell even picking up dog poop is a job for the career man out here. There does not seem to be much left for a young teenager.
Yes indeed!, I live in SO Cal, and have all my life. The type of jobs normally associated with teenagers is now filled will older adults. I go to a fast food place, and there are more older people doing the work than the youth. Also when a business has to deal with a wage hike, they just cut hours across the board, so if you got 40 hours a week now you have 20-24 hours. Also the business can raise prices to compensate for higher wages. It's a no win situation. The most logical thing to do is, get the best education you can, and work your way up the food chain.:)
If this is true, then in the long run it's good news for Mac users - it will spur Apple on to make OS X better. That's what competition is good for - just as Windows users are now reaping the rewards of greater Mac market share in having Windows get better.
I have never understood why Windows users wanted to "win" by having all competition sink without trace, nor Mac users for that matter. If there's only one game in town, why would anyone ever want to make it any better? Healthier for everyone if there are at least 2 viable systems, preferably 3 or 4.
I wholeheartedly agree!. More true competition is GOOD for all consumers, not matter what are needs, or wants are.:)
I like Windows for Games, Apple for Graphic Arts, Linux for tinkering. Each OS has it's own pool of hardware it's been tested to work with, and each OS coder's have their own priorities, and deadlines. There's no perfect OS that does everything well "out of the box", it all depends on your needs, perspective, and budget. That said "dual booting" or booting an OS from an external drive are good, if not perfect alternatives. Just my 2ct's.:)
When I worked as a cashier in the self scan lane, our store was hit by criminals with stolen credit cards, trying to buy expensive gift cards, to instantly launder the stolen credit cards. They would attempt to buy multiple expensive gift cards in one transaction. I told my manager this, but he didn't really care, just "Make them go thru a regular lane". Gift card fraud is getting out of hand.

You can't "define" away the truth. It is not a conspiracy theory to say MS violated anti-trust laws in the past, nor has MS learned from their past failures, in and out of court. My only hope is that more, and more people will become DIY system builders, and build their own computers, and become empowerd with the right knowledge of PC's and all the choices we STILL have !.

If this so called "Net Neutrality" is soooh! great then why is it not posted on the Internet (Full Text) for All to see and read).
This is not about Netflix vs Comcast, or some other distraction, they already struck a deal. It's about taxation, full control, licensing, and limiting and/or eliminating free speech, diverget thought, and the free flow of information on the Internet (Think China's Version of the Internet).
1. Web sites and ISP's will need to get a new license every year. (Think Big Fee).
2. Web sites and ISP's will need to pay new taxes, which costs will be passed on to the consumer.
3. Web sites and ISP"s will have to filter ALL content to comply with ALL new FCC rules/guidelines.
4. Web sites and ISP's will have to furnish Proof, that they are in compliance with ALL FCC rules/guidelines.

Really? My conclusion is that I should just leave this absurd place and go home where people are a touch more reasonable on the whole.
But if you always run away from a challenge, you don't learn to persevere. Also not everyone has a "home" to go back to.
