Why doesnt this happen... Apple takes the phone and privately disables the passcode limit, brutes the password, moves the decrypted files to another device, then gives that to the fbi. Apple destroys the phone so no one can reverse engineer the hack.
While i dont like the idea of a backdoor either, the "evidence they need" is every piece of info they can get, so they can see how they think, what patterns could have been detected, and maybe in the future they can prevent an attack based on the info they gathered. Some of the fbi agents really are trying to help.
It wasn't until news media sites starting loading 100's of ads all simultaneously that i had to get an ad blocker. They should have at least waited until the ads are in the scrollable pane of the page to load them. If they had done this, the ads would've loaded faster, the ui would have been smoother, and i would never have needed a blocker.

so... in order to bomb the white house all one has to do is call ahead, say it's a publicity stunt, then break their promise.
