I use it all the time for renaming multiple files one by one, creating subfolders etc. Arrow down, menu, arrow up, arrow up, enter, type, enter. Much faster than using a mouse.
I have two 10" blacklight neon's inside my case.. one on the bottom, and one just under the stability bar, which puts it quite close to the processor.
I've ran stability tests and benchmark utilities with the lights on and off.. and there is no change either way.
They do create a little bit of heat, but it does not radiate much from the ends of the lights like an incandescant would
As for 'made for pc' I just used the ones from the local autozone (which are the same the pcmod places sell for much more) so it is my belief it doesn't create any harmful disturbance to the machine itself.
Should auld acquaintance be forgot,

Actually it's dependant upon your browser and your system clock, not theirs.:)
I had a couple companies we host have similar 'problems' with their java script and just pointed out that they change the page a few times a month, so it really isn't that hard to just hard code the year and change it for 2001.
Now. just an hour and a half and I can see if they changed the year they hardcoded in. Or not, just checked one of them, and they removed the silly date script completely:)
I recieved the first today (and there was much rejoicing) and yes, works wonderfully switching my decoder card to zone 2 and hitting play. It even turned of Macrovision for me.:)
And well, to answer the post below ya, I tried ordering direct from France but could not find anyone who would ship to the U.S. but one of them gave me a tip to try Esprit and I am extremely pleased, over 200,000 items from 6 decades of rare, collectable, and new DVD's, CD's, Vinyl, etc. And while some might consider it spam, they send me an update everytime they get a shipment of stuff from my selected artist.
Works the same way for us poor NTSC people who want to see stuff only released in PAL or SECAM. That's the only reason I bought a DVD.. because I found one that could be flashed into region free (and my decoder card is unlimited region selectable) so I could just get the Zone2 DVD shipped over from England (at quite a high cost I might add, but IMHO it's worth it).
While I am still waiting for my shipment from eil, ordered in October to actually arrive (no, I'm not blaming them they have to be able to get it before they can send it to me). I have managed to 'test' the unlimited card zone changing by flipping it to zone 2 and trying to play a zone 1 disk. bzzz.. doesn't work..
Unfortunately, the stuff I want is not a big hit in the U.S. where I live, so I can understand not wanting to make a few zone 1 disks for special order, that would be too much time and money for them to do. However I don't see how they think not allowing entire sections of the world to buy something is a good thing.
I had to flash my DVD drive and decoder card to region-free it.
I pay a buttload of money to get obscure French DVD's for my collection and since they are not made in anything but Region 2 I do not see why those in non-region 2 zones should not be able to watch them. I can see maybe for those who try to pick up stuff from a country that sells them much cheaper.. but the DVD market would likely make more money by going region free, not everyone is willing/knows how to flash their DVD drives and such to be able to view rare disks
No offence, but have you seen the sheer volume of Napster vs Gnutella? The only other of these type of apps I've been able to find the obscure (in this country at least) stuff I want is on Scour, and still only 1/8th of what Napster has.
Buy what I can via the import section of CDnow and Amazon, and find the unavailiable (outside of Europe/Asia) stuff via Napster. Gnutella could give me a whole 1 album which is availiable anywhere, Scour a few of the singles, Napster the rest.
If you can convince everyone to switch to Gnutella then it might be worth a lot more than it is now.
Heh, well I don't know about that, there is more than one person that wants windows to be stable and not crash as much and they sure haven't implemented that "Feature"
Then again.. if they did that.. why would people pay for "Service Packs" and so forth?
Aerial Images provided them with the Spin images as well as some of the others, they marketed and provided the 'service' for them, but it's still Aerial Images, not M$, the CNN article even had that, as does the BBC article, Dan Rather's interview.. Seems only on/. is Microsoft suddenly owning this..
I haven't tried in VMWare like mentioned above, but have tried the time out with Paint Shop Pro, got the same thing. The browser/plugin had focus, I think it is because (view the source) each image is loaded via a seperate ASP page launched by the plugin, so if your graphics proggy doesn't have the plugin, it won't view the images? Would be nice to see what happens when they are back up, see if there is a way. Would love it actually, then maybe be able to convince them that the plugin is not the way to go.

Apparently so since it's been running fine for 6 months now :)

8.2.2 conf files even. Of course I did not get much sleep because of said late night work.
Well I spent 3.5 hours last night upgrading all of our servers to 8.2.3
To ease anyone's fears, 8.2.3 works just fine with existing 8.2.3 conf files, so all you need to do is make the tarball and stop/start named.
They are writing all of the outlook viruses to get back at us for uploading that virus into their mothership (see ID4)
Microsoft isn't have a world-wide monopoly, they are striving for a universe-wide monopoly!

Y2K is all Intel and AMD's idea, I mean... how fast is a gigahertz again?
Or maybe it's Western Digital, Seagate, Quantum, Maxtor, etc. How big is a Gigabyte? A Megabyte even?
Gotta love Fuzzy Math ;)
Me, I just got amused with January 8 or 9 (depending upon the decade) so I could look at my watch and see 1-9-(two digit year here)
We need to have a February 0... but then we would just have pointless arguments every year on what day January actually ended and February began. ;)
if (year<100) year="19" + time.getYear();
else year=time.getYear();
and the worst part is, I did preview that *sigh*.
And for the record, I get December 31, 2000
if (yearelse year=time.getYear();

Actually, I ordered them from Esprit International Ltd. in Kent, U.K.
I recieved the first today (and there was much rejoicing) and yes, works wonderfully switching my decoder card to zone 2 and hitting play. It even turned of Macrovision for me. :)

Now if I still had my phonograph :)

Way to go Australia!!

That would be "Sweet Dreams" that Marilyn Manson covered from the Eurythmics, not "Cake and Sodomy"
Or 'Cake and sodomy', the Marilyn Manson song
He is no more, he has ceased to be.
Bereft of life he rests in peace.
He's kicked the bucket, hopped the twig, bit the dust, snuffed it, breathed his last... "

In other words, I agree with the above statement

Win 98SE, Win95OSR2.. Win98 and WinME for that matter :)
MS would add any feature the people wanted

The link has an .asp at the end.. it's NT ;).

No, mainly because terraserver is owned and operated by Aerial Images, not Microsoft.

Solaris and JPG's!!! That would keep it up.. course.. then they'd lose their ability to make money from the pics...
