Also, many in the shanty town shacks were given very cheap or free housing, which they promptly sold and returned to their shacks. Did you notice that most of those shacks have cable TV ?????

What there is there is a HUGE gap between rich and poor. I have been to both sides, and the rich live in a comfort that many westerners would envy.

Actually it is the UK that wants to trade information - most of the other countries are quite happy for the banks to apply withholding tax i.e. tax your savings at source.

This is to try and stop people minimising their tax liabilities by keeping their savings hidden in overseas banks in countries with strong banking privacy laws - like Luxembourg. Luxembourg makes it quite easy for people in Germany, Holland, Belgium etc to open accounts and move their savings there, therefore avoiding paying tax on interest or capital gains.

Many countries have banking laws that will allow them to collect information, ostensibly to prevent money laundering. Liechtenstein, and many carribean countries don't do this and are currently being "leant" on by various other nations.

The UK doesn't want this withholding tax as they fear it will destroy the financial services sector in London.

I'm comfortable enough with not being allowed to sell Nazi memorabilia, but attempting to block Yahoo et el is the wrong approach. You have to appreciate the history to be able to understand why they have these laws.

Another way was to rename the SYS volume and create another (SYS) volume, always assuming you didn't store actual data on it.
