In our system, one party will rule until we're sick of em then we choose the other. The opposition rarely "wins" and election, it's usually the winning party "losing" the election.

A RAM disk is a software construct not a physical device. It doesn't cost anything.
The X-Box 2 is apparently due to ship with ~256+ MB RAM, a RAM disk just means taking part of that and using it to emulate a physical disk (as X-Box 1 games would of course only use 64 MB they wouldn't need the rest, leaving plenty left over for a RAM disk).
I am perfectly aware fo what a ramdisk is, the xbox had 64megs of ram. so of that 256 64 would be reserved just to match the same memory. the emulator won't come without space, since they don't intend to put p4 chips int here they must emulate. That'd be at least 10-20 megs. Leaving 180 megs for a ramdisk. But, it remains to be seen i thats enough. I got no stats on how big the cache gets. So they'd have to put in more ram which would jack the costs up. the whole reason for leaving the HD off the X2 was because its cost doesn't fall fast.
We don't know if they will or not, but we do know it's easily technically possible based on what information is available about the hardware. That you don't understand that that has do to with you having very limited knowledge of the subject being discussed.

They witched CPU architectures, making software emulation a required feature for BC. They switched GPU's which will garentees graphic glitches and possibly legal wrangling from nvidia(it's not all standard d3d calls). They dropped the hard drive, requiring emulation of a hard disk. All of that points to no-BC but will it really hurt the X2? I don't think so. They don't have that much momentum to carry over. starting from scratch isn't too much different then continuing the current software library. The GC did fine without it. There's simply not enough games to make the expensive and time intensive EMU worth wile. IT's not easy. You have seen a perfect eMU of a ps. send me the link. I'd liek to see that. I have yet to see one that supports more then a handful of games very well.
If it's just for cache write you could simply write to a ram disk (If it's relying on swap it's got to be a specific reserved amount, given the X-Box doesn't seem to reserve much for that in the region of 512 MB would be more than sufficient I would have thought, and RAM is dirt cheap and increasingly so).

Have you run emulation latley? for 20 year old games, they run flawlessly. on 15 year old games, almost perfect. on the last decade of game, their shit. it'll take another 5-10 years of emu for a pc to play an xbox game full speed via emu.

Trademarks, like businesses, can exist pretty much forever. This is reasonable since you're likely to pass your business on to your kids and you don't want another business pretending to be them. But we still need some way to expire trademarks, and that's why they have to be defended.
Copyright doesn't have to be defended. You can cheerfully ignore abuse right up to the end and then sue all you want.

Chronotrigger is a trade mark. It's a brand under which some products are sold. The IP of that brand is copy righted. Somethigns, like a character named chrono are not. However his likeness is copyrighted.
I am a bit skeptic about this kind of fan games (although Maniac Mansion Deluxe was really impressive), but when I saw the trailer I was really stunned. Give it a try!

I am all for closing people profiting from other's trademarks, but when hardcore fans do a game/hack/mod/expansion just for the pleasure of doing it without gaining a penny... I don't understand why companys force them to cancel these projetcs.
You do run the risk of losing yoru trae mark if they don't send a cease and desist. Chrono trigger is a brand and a trademark. If they let a OS project use the likeness it diminishes their ability to control the trade mark and it makes it harder to defend them from true piracy. IANAL.
I want an MMORPG try age-enforced servers. You can't join server "Enterprise" until you're 21 years old, period. Your ID has to be verified with some kind of government document or something.
