I think the median price for a house in california is 340,000.

You can get the same house for about 180,000 in Vegas.

So I think it really depends where you are planning to live and work.

Please dont call the theocratic government democratic. Though the moderates or "reformists" would like one to believe that you can have democracy within a theocracy, it is not possible. The new generation does not want the theocracy and they are beginning to understand that "reforms" simply can not happen (due to how the constitution was written etc.), but have not come to the conclusion that a revolution is the only option left . The Islamic Revolution is what brought the clerics into power, and people are very reluctant to talk about another revolution.

So long story short, a theocracy is not a democracy, unless you are Richard Armitage of the state deptartment.

Maybe if these countries spent more time thinking about themselves and unfucking their own lives/governments/economy/etc., they wouldn't even need to come here to work.

First off if you dont know by now that the US has it's hands in every countries business then I suggest you do some reading. The reason why these countries can't "unfuck" themselves is because the US has other plans for them . For example Iran had a democratic system back in the day, but the US thought oil was more important so with the help of the CIA the shah came back. Years later this hate for what the US did came back, and you had American hostages in Iran. Dont worry Americans aren't the only one's that like freedom, a house, a nice life, etc. but it seems if a country goes away from what the US wants (it risks having it's govt. overthrown

Well according to Guilliani (did I spell that right?) you shouldn't really research the root cause because that's justification for what happened (the attacks). Instead we should just rally behind our govt. and just agree, eventhough with the bombing 7 million people are in danger of starving to death.

Um....try going to dice.com and do a search for C++, and Java. I searched for C++ jobs just one day old and I got 2464 job results, where Java only had 1165. Hm.......that's almost half of the C++ jobs huh? =]

Hiya- well I came to Germany in Jan. and I had about 5 interviews lined up. Mind you I emailed a bunch of companies and in regards to their developer positions. I got offered a job at Germany's biggest internet company (Web.de), but ended up taking a job in Frankfurt. Supposedly getting a work permit in Europe is hard, but seriously if you have a US passport and know how to turn on a pc, you're set =) It took me 1 month to get my actual working permit. Funny thing is I'm going back home in 2 weeks, mostly because of the weather. If you really want to work in Europe it's really not that hard. You just have to be able to just get by for a month to month and a half, till you get your work permit. Oh and I almost forgot you might want to go to your nearest police station and get a letter saying that you have not done any crimes and such. I had to go to the US embassy and it cost me like 100 dollars I think. Well hope that helped =]

Cool so I'm not the only one that thinks this book should be verboten. I mean I was actually pretty lucky, the book cost 40 dollars, but I somehow got charged 5 dollars at Borders. Maybe they knew how sorry the book is and had some sympathy for me LOL. Can anyone recommend a real python book for me?
