this blog seems to be very interesting about how and why continuations, coroutines, closures, and the usual suspects (microthreads,..) will be implemented in Parrot, by one of the main contributor of Parrot (he wrote the book about perl6)
of course, you realize that Shuttle makes P4/Athlons CPU boxen, not mini-ITX (flex-ATX ?), wihch are (until now, would be cool to see some with anotoher CPU) only C3 -the low power, but quite less performing CPUs -, and almost all are made from VIA ?
Besides, many ppl here and from the preceding mini itx article here are quite funnily talking about how many GHZ those boxes are : this is all the more wrong that a 800 MHz C3 CPU performs like a PII 350 MHz (which is quite good given the other advantages of a mini itx : price, integration,...)
not 320*240, but 320x200x256 colors from a palette of 6bits*3 (262kcolors).
The flat memory adressing was interesting, but many games programmed the hardware to use anoither mode (the mode X) which used interlacing, but gave the possibility to move 4 bytes at a time and move the visible area from the video buffer (very useful to make a nice scrolling !)
if you need to trust the VM binary, why not trust the very programs you want to trust directly ? because you put the VM in rom ? (or something in ROM is trusting the VM ? but, there, why not verify other programs, even downloaded ?)
Other remark, I though palladium was evil, but not TCPA ?
The SQL support in Qt 3.2 includes drivers for IBM's DB2, complete support for stored procedures, and improved connection parameters.
The addition of Indic script input and rendering means that Qt 3.2 now supports all major script-based languages, including advanced languages such as Hindi and Bengali. Qt 3.2 is also more efficient at font rendering.
Qt Designer has two new, major features added in 3.2: A menu editor that provides the ability to add, edit and remove menus and menu items directly in the menubar and the popup menu; and enhanced support for adding complex, custom container widgets (such as custom tab widgets). Qt Designer also features improved ActiveQt integration.
Qt Motif integration has been enhanced by additional documentation and code samples.
Qt Assistant has been has been made more customizable. Developers can integrate Qt Assistant into their applications to provide a powerful a help system.
The Qt library now also includes several new classes, including:
- QSplashScreen (add splash screens to applications)
- QToolBox (a toolbox that provides a column of tabbed widgets)
- QThreadStorage (thread data storage support)
The minitel is actually a text terminal + a modem. (try to make popupders on a text terminal)
The servers were exclusively referenced and billed by France Telecom. The important word, here, is BILLED : the BIG advance is that you were able to bill some content. e.g. if you connect to a server, your phone bill will have that price included.
So, whoops : no need for popupders !
As far as spam is concerned, you don't get spam on the web, you get spam on email. Which wasn't available as a service.
I guess this product implements the evil bit ...

... RTFB
So
Shhh ! The name was cyphered by a new Adobe scheme !
this is also true in high maths, where perfectly simple words describe perfectly obscure objects.
... (I don't know the english word for them, but in french you wouldn't know you talk about algebra or calculus)
perfect body, finite field,
please ! It's Amélie (pronounce a-me-li, not amili)
you're right. However, tab size is taken as 8 spaces, but your example works (except for(1) in python isn't right, it works the same).
Besides, python supports both indentation block delimitation AND parentheses-like block delimiters.
just use #{ and #} (should be at the end of a line)
or you might use #[ and #]
or even # and #
s/all your base/our bases

NO, you're wrong. Mice designed earth, not Deep thought.
1. use curl or wget
2. why not use a browser ?
3. tell them to grab it via kazaa
Why, I mean, why ?
if it's in a corporate world, flee while it's time
else, why not use python as a first language ? or, Java ?
I mean, you could learn something simple, like, LISP ?

you just need to choose the right pill ...
Now c'mon minibar, gimme another beer, and shut that damn screen, I wanna go out now !
... please relax and enjoy your night.
I can't let you do that, Dave
No, I haven't RFTA, but I'm wondering :

c'mon, I thought it was already 2D at least !

Linear simpsons should be pretty boring (mmmmmh
and it lacks a photo camera (3MPixels)

Did they license the Tetris Game ?
From what I recall, this was no freeware but a commercial game. Let alone a commercial name.
Sue ! Sue ! Sue !
Anybody could enlighten me for some witty comments on the subject ?
.. ?
- why no links on X10 ?
- which maxim is obvious ?
I googled for the later, it seems to be a male-only newspaper
That said, it seems to be a good candidate to plug my fridge-on-internet like applicances.
Ahem, sorry but prices are, in france, where I live, rounded at .99 euro cents, like everywhere else.
VAT is included, it's te law.
Besides, anyone think like I am that the guy is assuming equally distributed prices to calculate his ratio of average change given back?
Which, as we see with psychological prices, is not true.
you seem to be kidding, but you're almost right.
There are known hacks to bypass the modem of a minitel and use it as a terminal on a linux PC to use it as a remote access (eg when X crashes).
Do a quick google search, it has been done. Yup.
Et voilà !
The minitel is actually a text terminal + a modem.
