Thanks to my marriage, I'm on the hook for 20 years of giving up 20% of my paycheck. Although I love my daughter, every single other aspect of my marriage destroyed me -- loss of income means living in a basement apartment with little sunlight but centipedes and poor heating because that's all I could afford. I was an emotional wreck for a year. My wife didn't love me, and attempting to find a girlfriend since then has been fruitless -- the women I meet who are willing to date me are hardly the cream of the crop. I'm better off watching porn than seeking the admiration of women who themselves seek the money I don't have.
In some cultures, tattoos and body modifications are considered an assault on god's temple (your body). Although it's an instinct with me, more than learned behavior, I subconsciously wonder why people with tattoos hate themselves so much they cover their body with writing (or puncture wounds, or metal placed in private places). You can express your individuality in a number of ways, why do it to your body in such an irreversible manner?
The personal computer will not be around in 50 years. With computers getting smaller, and nanotech on the rise, our needs will adapt to fit the advances of science and technology.
Apple stopped being a computer company with the success of the iPod, then iPhone, then iPad. They're a technology devices company whose products are geared at consumers, not a computing company focused on particular industries as they were in the 1990's (publishing, audio, video). Mac sales numbers are a footnote to the money they're printing with iPhones, and the Apple watch is just a fresh way to get their BRAND recognition on the street (since you keep your iPhone in your pocket or your purse). It doesn't matter how many Apple watches sell -- they're just more income for the Apple behemoth.
Apparently Attorney General Holder has never heard of a PLANK on a Ship at Sea, where there are Sharks with fucking laser beams. So General Petraeus' walk will be a long one.
politics are an important part of the environment but you're correct: attempts to boil this debate down to conservative vs liberal is (figuratively) us eating the red herring. truth of the matter is all politicians seek the backing of wealthy donors / special interest groups including the RIAA, because indie artists who aren't part of corporate rock / corporate greed aren't big political donors. laws will not be made in favor of the people.
Don't like what Facebook does? Stop participating with them. Actually, *Collaborating* is a better word.
My teenaged daughter mostly plays vocaloid songs on our long, long car rides. Yamaha owns the vocaloid technology

They even made a keyboard synthesizer only available in Japan that's specific to producing vocaloid music.

Hey Coke & Walmart? I'll name drop your company into my next hip-hop song, guaranteeing tens of listeners.
sure, let's do more CS education in schools. but let's also eliminate H1B visas so computer science jobs are available in the US.
let's do it! let's use a stone tool!
the hot air coming from that gasbag would send the asteroid into a different direction

Microsoft Labia has a nice ring to it.

You've obviously never used Korg Gadget on an iPad. This app SCREAMS to be run on a system with more horsepower and a bigger screen.

this guy's theoretical hack is still not practical, probable, or verified in meatspace. It's vaporware.

And traitors of the Bush White House Occupancy are supposed to be handed stiff bonuses, not flabby penalties

I don't teach myself guitar for many songs written by other artists. I'm far more interested in creating my own content, thankyouverymuch.
and now the photos only show 2 members instead of 10
Snowden was the canary in the coalmine. He's not the only one who recognized that governments are abusing their power; he's just the poster boy.
Regulation helps to keep markets free and open by preventing abuse of the system. Your libertarian lies are worthless here.
